I was just thinking, Carl is finally in the position of being able to make serious money whenever he fights and given a decent enough opponent, presumably he will be on SBO for future fights.

If he fights Ward next, gets well outboxed again as I believe he would, then he is back to square one. I don't think it is a big enough fight yet to warrant cashing out on it.

From Fast Eddies pov, it would seem silly to waste Carl's new found status when he can make similar money, in good fights, fighting people he can beat.

  2. No Hopkins cleverly Chavez are all big money spinners but also names on his expanding resume.win or lose

They seem pretty adamant that Carl won't go to 175 though so not sure Hopkins and Clev fights can be made.

Eddie and Froch are in a position where there is no big fights left apart from Ward who will outclass him again. I'd give props if he fought Ward again but if they try to go down the Groves route as a PPV then its just the typical greedy cowardly behaviour we have come to expect these days.

Has Bika fought for the WBC world title yet? As Froch against Bika would be interesting or a rematch with Pascal. I say a couple more fights like the above or Stieglitz just to make Ward stew more then maybe fight Ward

Eddie will want Kessler III if Kessler wants it. The world wants it after 2 great fights. But not only the world, the US will want that fight in Vegas. It makes too much money for it not to happen. Its a Gatti-Ward scenario but its 1-1 and the yanks love back and forth fights like these.....and from the impression I get from a lot of yanks, they like Froch aswell.

Ward is not the money man, and Froch doesn't need to face and beat him to prove anything! If anything Carl Froch is the money in the division, Andre Ward needs Carl Froch, not the other way around. Fights like Hopkins, Groves and Kessler III are the big money fights now.

Forget about Ward, all that rests on that fight is Froch's personal gripe with losing the first fight. He has avenged the Kessler defeat and will want to avenge the Ward defeat.....but a 2nd fight with Ward makes no sense to me for a number of reasons. Froch is likely to lose again against Ward wherever it is, harming his momentum, Ward doesn't sell that well....and there are bigger money fights around!

If you ask me, leave Ward till last if they really want to do that fight. Rematch Kessler ASAP, fight Groves and then fight Ward and retire.

If of course they want to fight Ward. Ward isn't really a finger licking fight, it will be the same as the first. A Hopkins fight would be much the same, I really dont see the appeal with a Hopkins fight. If we want to see exciting fights till the end, then its Groves and Kessler and then retire. But deep down Froch will always want that Ward fight, because he is stubborn and proud. But if I was Eddie Hearn, I'd be smart with it and get Froch the Groves and Kessler rematch before thinking about Ward.

    Milk the situation!

If Froch fights Ward next and loses, what was the point? Get as many fights in as possible before fighting Ward. Hype that fight up over a period of time, get the world wanting to see it like an anticipated movie, because Ward doesn't sell ****, regardless of his talent. He has the skills, but not the gift of the gab to push them!

Stieglitz - Groves should fight and then Froch take on the winner. After that cash out with a big pay day against Ward. Only the Ward fight should be PPV though.

I'd like to see him in new fights, I don't think he beats Ward wherever they fight though and I'd fully expect it to be ppv if its over here cos it won't be cheap to get Ward to travel.

In terms of legacy having Hopkins on there would be great even if the fight isn't.

I'd love to see him become a 2 weight world champ and beat Cleverly but he doesn't seem interested in moving up.

Groves is certainly in with a chance of a fight against Froch but I'd like him to have a better name than Degale on his record.

    Floyd Mayweather

Carl Froch is easily top 10 P4P. Easily.

I'm not his biggest fan, I used to be, but I am a fan of boxing.

Carl Froch  Mikkel Kessler

Both men a credit to themselves and their families.

Froch is the one who keeps talking about Ward not the other way round. Froch is the one who needs Ward who outclassed Froch and beat him on the inside and outside. Why does Ward need someone he has dominated. Since then Ward has destroyed the best Light Heavyweight in th world Chad Bad Dawson. Ward is getting better whilst Froch is past his best. Let me let you into a little secret! Everyday that passes from now on the chances of Groves winning against Froch improve. Groves is becoming the fighter I always believed he would become high level of ring intelligence.

Not going to clarify that then ? Or are you going to cut your losses and admit you made a tit of yourself.
