If you're Hatton's trainer, what would be your gameplan for Pac?

When Pac does that lead left straight to the head then quick sidestep slip to the right, Ricky should counter with a hard left hook to the body as Pac is pivoting away.

close the distance force manny back.
Against the ropes rip to head and body and land in combination at least some of the time.
Keep guard tight in the middle of the ring. Use the jab or the straight right hand to buy yourself some time to get into Pac.
IF pac moves back in a straight line rush him and put the pressue on him he will be square on and open for either hand.
    MOVE THAT HEAD!.

Can hatton do it? not sure? but dam i want a british fighter to beat the best avilable.

I disagree with Freddy, I think that Hatton has fast feet. He needs to use that when he's outside to close the distance, but in combination with the jab (obviously) so he doesn't get his head taken off.

Once he's in he needs to fight a very high energy fight. That means punching as well as leaning, pushing and wrestling.

He also has to be prepared to be hit and to continue to be hit in order to get his work done. I'm really not sure a guy can train for that. But he's not winning this fight outside and he's not getting inside without getting hit. Pac has good lateral movement, can punch off it, is fast and accurate. That's the big one in this fight, for me - can Hatton take the consistent punishment that Pac IS going to dish out? And can Pac take Hatton's punches full stop. Remember that Pac's punch resistance is basically untested above 130. He's been in two one-sided fights with ideal foils (through no fault of his own).

All results are possible in this fight.

Try to make it to round 6 by holding as much as possible and making the ref work even harder then you are..

    good question thread starter.

and kinda like above for me...hatton needs to work angles..quick and subtle sidesteps when manny comes in and then hit him ??

Turn Manny around and force him to fight in the orthodox stance.

Hatton is 1 1/2 inches taller. You'll find sources that say otherwise but there false. Some say Manny is taller, it isn't true.
