I would tell him to go out in the first round.... take the centre of the ring.... land two big right hands (possibly three)....

I'd say don't trade with froch with your hands down by the side of your waist

I think everything has already been covered. Work on his stamina, earn Froch's respect again early but don't get carried away, save something for the final rounds when Froch comes on strong, jab and move more, avoid the ropes at all costs, clinch if hurt don't start trading with Froch etc.

If i was Groves trainer, i'd tell him to ignore me and go seek advice from all the "experts" at ESB.
I especially love the comments about Groves improving his stamina. He has to starve to make weight, has a history of gassing in the second half of fights, BUT he can fix it by doing more cardio for the next 12 weeks ?

I would say to Groves in an Alan Partridge voice "George your the best, go out there and punch him in the ruddy face".

I would also change his entrance music to "your the best" from the film Karate kid.

Finally i would remind him to always refer to Froch by his surname during the build up to the fight as Froch hates it!!

I'd make him smash up slabs of meat and chase a chicken or 2 around someones back yard.

Do everything the same but box more rather than slugging it out! Groves was beating Froch to the punch every time until his bravado got the better of him.

Speed speed speed. Froch can be outboxed especially if he comes out wanting a knockout. I don't think Froch is quick enough to outbox groves.

This is possibly the best advice I have ever seen anywhere. I feel sure the central themes could be widened not just for Groves, but for all up and coming young fighters. :happy
