If you're shaken by a punch on the temple, does that mean you have a glass jaw?

    Like Brook was tonight.

    Or David Price when he got knocked out by a punch in the ear.

    Logic on this is that it means you have a glass jaw :huh

    It means you may not have the best punch resistance. There are plenty of instances where guys get hit in that area by a bomb and take it no problem, and in other instances a guy gets hit by a light looking shot in that area, and is dropped, discombobulated, or KO'd.

    When people say glass jaw they mean that they can't take a punch well, poor punch resistance. Not just the Jaw Ha.

    Jaw= Brain shaken

    Temple = Equilibrium

    But lets face it, Brook got caught on the temple with a haymaker and got wobbled, but he blew his nose, came back, and destroyed his man, it's a bit different than being all over the place with every shot

    I suppose poor punch resistance is mostly taken for a glass jaw.
    Usually from the neck area upward.

    Gerry Cooney could not take a good shot to the temple, his fight -vs- Holmes 1982 check rounds 2nd and the latter rounds when he is in trouble again. A present fighter would be
    Heavy wgt Seth Mitchell a walking KO waiting to happen!

    No. Vitali Klitschko stopped Solis in the very first round with a right hook to Solis' temple. Tyson landed a punch to the temple and his opponent lost his balance. A punch that lands on the temple the right way will make anyone dizzy as Hell!

    No Mundine has only ever be KO'd by temple shots but managed to take shots on the chin from big punchers like Kessler, Green & Echols.

    That just made Brook mad. Senchenko didn't like Brook when he was mad.
