Ortiz should change his mentality. Forget that it is a boxing match and just go for a street fight mentality.

The first minute of the fight, he should low blow him immediately.

If he losses, at least he already had punched him in his womanhood.

 

Floyd would make jokes about filipino people, and then you and the rest of the white boys would :| about it for weeks with endless threads.

 

It would even be better if Pac walks Ortiz to the ring and stays in the sideline.

taking it to the ropes. Mayweather wont lead off unless he has still target, or knows there is a 100% chance the punch is going to land, as he doesn't like to leave himself open if he misses, which is why when someone moves their head(Hatton), or uses the head and shoulder feints as they come foward(Castillo), he's reluctant to lead off, and ends up retreating the ropes, when he gets to the ropes, he likes to either play defense on the ropes, but he wont get away with that against Ortiz, cause Ortiz will break through his shell defense imo, given that he's a lefty, or Floyd will probably resort to moving to his left trying to stick the jab on Ortiz, just generally offsetting his aggression with the movement, but the key is, he will of forced Mayweather to lead off, as Mayweather wont want to allow you to maneuver into a vulnerable position in the ring where by you can trap him, he will be forced to get off and move if he thinks he's being maneuvered into a place he doesn't wanna go, what Ortiz should do in this situation, is make sure he's cutting the ring off, that even though he's stalking off the front foot, that he steps in and applies pressure when he sees Mayweather in those vulnerable positions, then if he manages to get close, go straight to that body, and just do what he does inside, which is get those uppercuts going with both hands, bring that excellent right hook he has into play where Mayweather is holding his left low, and throw that straight left that comes from the other side, which Mayweather might potentially be bending into.

Ideally Ortiz would have a jab he could utilize, but he seemingly doesn't so...

 

Rewatch Castillo I. Then make it really ugly by fighting close range. Target the body. High output of punches. But since there will be OSDT, I doubt Ortiz will even come close to the stamina he had against Berto. It's a lost cause.

I would attempt to fight "my fight", as in be aggressive, through meaningful shots, and do my best to dictate the pace. I'm a believer in "dance with who brought you", I wouldn't do a lot to change my style. I believe sports in general involve impossing your will on your opponent, I believe going away from your strengths and trying to fight a "different" fight puts the respective fighter at a disadvantage from the jump. I'm not saying you shouldn't account for what someone else may try to do, but at the end of the day, do what YOU do well.

Work overtime on my legs for explosive power to cut off the ring. Lay traps for Floyd like lay out a jab, wait for his counter lead right, move to my left, and counter with a short right uppercut as he moves in. All in one motion. First couple of times might fail, but havent seen anyone try that on him.

Jab to his body while moving to my right to avoid his right hand counter when Im not laying traps. I think making Floyd fight going forward is his achilles heel as long as you make him fight while he is NOT on his backfoot he wont be able to counter as well. When he does move forward its for a very short span of time, but for Victor he needs to time his punches right and if he can also fight off the backfoot to confuse Floyd, make him come forward and think your afraid. You cant outspeed him, but you can still lay traps. If that doesnt work plan B and swarm him, but I dont think Victor is a particular good swarmer as he is boxer puncher.
