Here it is.... http://www.**************/forum/index.php?topic=1144.msg8229 Junior proved he can run a marathon in 36 minutes, which smashed the world record. Hard to give Witter more than two rounds, 3 and 4 probably. Judah even starts outclowning him in the end in a fight where Witter is horribly outclassed. (Put l.i.v.e.f.i.g.h.t.c.o.m) instead of the stars.
I remember this fight. I honestly thought that Witter would get destroyed, but he made Judah miss everything..............for about 2 rounds. Then he got schooled. This was before Witter found KO power in his fists though; he went on a run of 15 TKO/KO wins after the Judah fight which is still his only loss. Some fighters come back improved after a loss; Witter is obviously one of those guys.
Yeah and Witter was a novice with very limited experience in fighting a higher level of opponent due to the poor management. He also took the fight on less than a weeks notice and was a totally different fighter than he became. He himself was embarrassed after the fight and decided to stop trying to be a Sweet Pea style slickster and to sit down on his shots as he had been known as having great power as an amateur. Since that fight he became a puncher using his best natural asset rather than trying to be a super slick boxer which he never had the gifts to succeed as. I would pick him to KO Judah in a rematch tomorrow.
Onyourway - I know you are knocking Witter because of your love for Hatton. I'm sure Junior would have taken care of Pedro Teran, if he had been his opponent in his 18th fight. No shame in losing to Judah given the circumstances.
I know your new to boxing being a Hatton fan but boxing is scored on punches landed not missed punches and Witter made Judah miss all night and won 4-5 rounds on a weeks notice long before his prime. Remind me again how Hatton was Judahs mandatory but never wanted to fight him
short notice fight against the "next-big-thing" from America at the time. No shame in losing for Witter.
Judah had only fought 22 times. Witter's performance was embarrassing. In hindsight, Judah is an extremely flawed fighter. And if Witter had tried to engage, we might have found this out sooner.....
Oh dear....:---( You really are clueless. New boxing fan are we? Fighter A knocks out fighter B so fighter H...............atsch Sleazenation and onourway You have been officially DISQUALIFIED
Actually, I was just replying to Fat Joe, who said because Judah went the distance with Floyd... - like that means anything. atsch
