If Zaggers only beat a shot Hopkins then Ward only beat a shot Froch

That right Calzaghe haters and Ward fans. (Or the delusional hypocrites as you are commonly known).

    Let's look at the evidence.

Hopkins was 7 years older than Calzaghe when they fought. Hopkins was 43, 'Zaggers was 36.

Froch was 7 years older than Ward when they fought. Froch was 34, PED test avoiding Ward was 27.

Now before all you Hopkins****s chime in going the former duo was older than the latter, take a quote from the Popkins himself "You don't last long in this sport proving you can take a punch". Froch has made a career of doing that thus he will fade much young than Hopkins (and thus Calzaghe who was open to a bit of a tear up, younger than Ward).

Now let's compare Froch and Hopkins runs, going in and coming out either side of the Ward and Joe C fights.

    3 fights out
Hopkins, loses close fight to Jermaine Taylor
Froch, loses close fight to Mikkel Kessler

    2 fights out
Hopkins wins as an underdog in dominate fashion against Antonio Tarver
Froch wins as an underdog in dominate fashion against Arthur Abraham

    1 fight out
Hopkins- wins on points to the slightly faded yet still game Winky Wright
Froch- wins on points to the slightly faded yet still game Glen Johnson

    The fight
Hopkins-loses a close points (but should've been wider) verdict to Joe Calzaghe
Froch- loses a close points (but should've been wider) verdict to Andre Ward

    1st fight past
Hopkins- easily defeats undefeated betting favorite Kelly Pavlik
Froch- easily defeats undefeated betting favorite Lucian Bute

    2nd fight past
Hopkins- beats journeyman Enrique Ornelas with little trouble
Froch- beats journeyman Yusaf Mack with little trouble

    3rd fight past
Hopkins- beats faded Calzaghe victim Roy Jones
Calzaghe- beats faded Calzaghe victim Mikkel Kessler

    4th fight past
Hopkins- draws with Jean Pascal but is controversial
Froch- beats George Groves but is controversial

    5th fight past
Hopkins- beats Pascal in rematch ending controversy
Froch- beats Groves in rematch ending controversy

I think you lost your own argument in the 4th sentence.

43 and 36, simply do not compare with 34 and 27 no matter which way you cut it. Other than the fact that both have a seven year age difference.

If you take ANY athlete in their absolute prime ( no matter which sport ) they will not be able to compete in exactly the same way 9 years later. The nine years between the two sets of ages is what makes the difference here.

I'm not saying either was shot though, so that's my argument.

Look at Hopkins and Froch's immediate achievements pre and post those losses- very similar.

Froch will fade faster than Hopkins due to the way they fight. That is a fact. Like Brandon Rios will fade faster than Guillermo Rigondeaux. As Hopkins says- you don't last long proving you can take a punch and Froch has done well making it this far as a significant fighter.

No one says Hopkins was shot, doofus.

However, there is an argument to be made that Hopkins deserved the nod over slappy and that the decision was largely political due to some of the borderline racist statements made by Hopkins.

You hit the nail on the head Anyone that is unbiased & honest knows that Bernard Hopkins really beat Calzaghe Nard also really beat Taylor in both fights. All 3 decisions were indeed POLITICAL

    Ermmm, yes they do.

And I am 100% convinced nobody who has watched the fight and has one iota of boxing knowlege really believes that Hopkins won that fight. Hopkins himself doesn't really thing that

So, are you trolling or do you lack boxing knowledge.

    :patsch:patsch

You do realise the fight took place in Hopkins back yard, on a card where he was a business partner and his partners picked the ref and the judges. So if anyone was getting screwed it was Calzaghe

Plus you believe when Hopkins pulled his crybaby face, it was a low blow even though it was nowhere near low. So it's not like you are unbiased.

"Calzaghe haters can't stop talking about him! Look, the STILL make threads about him"

Nah, it's 90% BS like this.

THIS is why people talk about slappy and his deluded fans the way they do.

Yep. 100% convinced. You are probably both trolling and know nothing about boxing. About what I'd expect from a Broner fan anyway.

I know punch stats don't always tell the full story but not sure if there has been a fight in history where one boxer has outlanded another every single round where people would think the other guy won. But Calzaghe did create a lot of hate going 17-0 against your Yank heroes. :hi:

Refute what I said. If Hopkins was shot when he fought Zaggers, having an extremely similar run either side, then so was Froch who is Ward's best win. :hi:

No one here is a Broner fan and you can't distract from the fact that YDKSAB by accusing a poster, who disagrees with you, of being a fan of an unpopular fighter. It's a ret*ard tactic.

    Again. Log off son.
