Comeback from Blandón in the ninth, pounding Lasisi against the corner turnbuckle with body shots with nonstop, smothering pressure.

    10-9 Blandón

    85-84 Blandón

Tenth was crazy...Lasisi started out strong, flipping both fists backhanded up into Blandón's guts and hurting him, and then dropping him, but Lasisi appears to have spent himself and Blandón mauled him for the remaining minute plus, hurting him a few times.

    10-8 Lasisi

    94-93 Lasisi

Blandón chases Lasisi around the ring, squatting and launching himself diagonally off bent knees to cut the ring off and hammering down with huge overhand rights aimed on the jawline. Lasisi keeps spitting out his gum shield and needing his glove re-laced, annoying referee Massimo Barrovecchio. Maybe a deduction soon. One more big strappingright from Blandón af the bell, almost dropping Lasisi.

    10-9 Blandón

    103-103

Got my times all mixed up and missed this card completely. Going to have to go back and watch it this afternoon. Thanks for the RBR @IntentionalButt

Twelfth is a microcosm of the whole fight: insane, thrilling, dirty, messy, and full of momentum shifts. Blandón slugging away for most of it. Lasisi running as long as he can then standing his ground and trading or collapsing into a clinch. The ref calls time out and the corner of Lasisi has to retape his glove interrupting a vicious two-way exchange.

    10-9 Blandón

    103-102 Blandón

Lasisi thinks he won, celebrating before the scorecards are read..

Not awful cards per se, but a little suspicious that in a fight like this with so many close rounds and chaotic elements all three would be the same... :dunno

    Moral of today's story:

Always bet on the unbeaten favorite (Lasisi/Joyce/Tapia) over the single-loss prospect (Sharma/Tiffney/Blandón) ...at least in Dubai. :sisi1

    Think so. :nusenuse:

Michael Hunter's brother Keith is there in a tough fight, that's an interesting one.
