Ignoring the loss, didn't like to see Broner WHINING to the Ref so much

It was a dirty fight, sure, but it's really cringe worthy to watch a fighter complain to the referee every 20 seconds when he's really just getting roughed up. I understand the ref was paid off and Broner likely knew this, but I guess I thought deep down Broner was a warrior. He showed heart near the end but I just can't ever like a fighter that complains like that.

I don't think Broner will learn anything from this loss. He's going to rationalize it so his ego doesn't completely die, and continue to down a bad path.

Biggest thing he can learn is that he isnt FLoyd and never will be, once he does that he will benefit by adapting to his abilities...he just doesnt have the skill, ring IQ and most of all no footwork at all!

Well, I think it solidified maidana's win tonight because he was
fighting 2 men in the ring tonight, and still won.

 

He was telling the ref "he can't hit me" Being ****y...

The ref was paid off to favor Broner.

 

he showed his true colors. he is a steaming pile of garbage as a person.

 

There is only so much thing a ref can do to help a boxer. Broner talking to the ref when nothing really obvious was happening looked really suspicious.

Do you like Bernard Hopkins?

That cringeworthy crybaby face acting in the 8th reminded me of Bernard.

 

I hate Hopkins. He represents everything wrong with IN THE RING action. I don't give a **** how "skillful" people think his head butts are.

 

Lawrence Cole appeared to be protecting Broner as I suspected he would. The Showtime commentators were a disgrace, except for Brian Kenny who seemed to give them a lecture, the real judges had the fight judged more correctly. I had Maidana winning every round, the fight was not even close! Cole gave a long count for the knock down in round 2, did not take any points away from Broner, but took a point away from Maidana. Broner hit Maidana clearly after the bell, which is the only punch to hurt Maidana. I did notice that Broner was acting when he got a very slight head butt, as Pauli showed, was not really a headbutt but was an attempt to get loose from Broner holding him.

Notice that it appears that Showtime was trying to hide the illegal punch after the bell at the end of the 11th round!

 

Broner fought dirty the entire fight. The forearm shivers were pathetic and Cole is a horrendous ref.
