Yup, Igor got injured and lost.

Igor is probably one of everybody's favorite fighters, he was just so fun to watch. Towards the end the effects of all those punches, some of which landed badly for his hands were just to much.

He has serious damage to his right hand and arm, I think he has some metal pins in it now.

In a lot of ways he was a prototype for Fedor to follow, he had simple effective striking and nasty ground and pound.

His fight against Enson Inoue was ****ing brutal, non stop GnP from within the guard, he had Enson seriously damaged, to the point of him not being able to stand. His GnP from the guard, along with Coleman's, was a major influence on Fedor.

He opened a restaurant after retiring, I belive he still runs it.

I see. I noticed similarities to Fedor right away...his striking and GnP especially. Never saw this Igor fight before but he looked like a monster.

Wanderlei vs Igor would have been great; a prime Igor vs a prime Anderson would be a pretty secure win for Anderson, I think; just a bad style matchup.

I believe that fight was actually made.. As for Anderson vs Igor no way. Anderson would get pulverised. Igor had an EXCELLENT sub defense which was complimented very well by his GnP.
