No because Hatton didn't prove he was a better boxer than Tszyu. Under WWE handcap match rules with his partner Dirty Dave Paris he was too much. In Vegas with a fair ref like Cortez, Tszyu would have knocked him out in about 7 rounds.

No everybody is not saying that. Most Hatton fanboys are downplaying the fact that he was 35 and inactive to the point of irrelevance. Yes, a lot of other people, Tszyu fans and neutral observers alike, believe he was somewhat affected by ring rust and age, but this could be because it is true. I know you have to be against the majority to feel important, but sometimes the majority can be right.

Yeah most people at the time were using the Mitchell fight as evidence for the supposed prime 35yo tszyu, which would have made him the only prime 35yo light welter in history, one that can fight once every two years and still be fighting fit! Amazing. In retrospect, the Mitchell fight doesn't prove much. He was 34 him self and styalistically perfect for Tszyu. Being able to counterpunch the gullible Shamba Mitchell and being fit for 12 rounds with Ricky Hatton are two very different things.

OK well the consensus seems to be no. Some of you are so 'no' that it's a stupid question. So can somebody that answered 'yes' give a reason why? Pretty please???
