Qui Peng decisioned Michael Van Nimwegen in an entertaining six rounder. They took turns gaining control and bouncing rights off of each other. Draw seemed like a fair result, but there were some close rounds, so 58-56 x3 certainly seemed reasonable. Kuok Kun Ng vs Phompetch Twins Gym, 6 rnds. K.K. Ng's been controlling with he jab, and pelting his Thai opponent with right hands as his foe repeatedly switches stances and searches for openings. 20-18 K.K. Ng
Round 3: Ng boxing nicely, avoding Phompetch's rushes and countering pretty much at will with right hands. KK Ng starts to let his combos flow on the front foot near the end of the rounds to close the stanza. Round 4: Ng feeling it now, and starts to mix in uppercuts as he works increasingly off the front foot. BIG uppercut drops Phompetch on the seat of his trunks. The Thai gets up, but seconds later eats a second uppercut that drops his heavily onto his back! No count...none needed. KO 4!!!
Round 1: Tso stalks his foe, jabbing at him and bringing the right hand behind it. The Thai circles cautiously, and occasionally leaps forward...but doesn't really connect at all that round with his lunges.
Round 2: Tso continues to pelt his foe with jabs, and quick one twos. A couple of right hands from the Hong Kong fighter draw "oohs" from the crowd but don't seem to shake the Thai. Wisaruth finally lands a right hand, and a pretty nice counter hook. Not enough to take the round, though. 20-18 Tso
