Ikboljon Kholdarov born March 8, 1997 is a 5'11 Light Middleweight with a 5-0 4 KO's record. Born in Andijan, Uzbekistan and fighting out of Indio, California, USA. He's a Gold Medalist in the 2017 Asian Championships and 2018 Asian Games, and won Silver at the 2017 World Amateur Championships. As an amateur he holds wins over the likes of Qudratillo Abdukakhorov, William Zepeda, Zhora Hamazaryan, Artem Harutyunyan and most importantly, holds a SD loss that should be a win over Cuban wunderkind Andy Cruz in the 2018 WSB and even their match in 2017 was razor close. While he may seem to be a standard issue ultra aggressive Uzbek southpaw, especially now since he's turned pro, thus far there seems to be a few more wrinkles in his game. He never just carelessly comes in with reckless abandon, he controls rane fairly well, feints fairly well, and jabs his way in before unleashing a usually quite accurate fusilade of punches. Defensively, depending on the opponent, he's quite sound, his head movement and at times entire upper body movement to evade punches can be fairly impressive. But he can let it lapse on occasion, which is worrisome. The fluidity of his footwork and ability to cut off the ring is decent. Although I[m not a fan of his ultra wide stance, but he seems to make it work for him. He also seems to be packing some decent power since turning pro as well. I'm not entirely sold on him yet, but he's definitely one to keep an eye on.
