It’s all Foreman’s fault. Ha.

Also, with less fights and the associated wear/tear that goes with same, the careers of active fighters have been extended somewhat.

However. Ike’s last fight was all the way back in 1999, for a capped record of 20-0, 15 KOs - so, though impressive as at that time, he was still in the development stage.

Since then it’s been over double the time Foreman was out - and George also left the game the first time with a lot more fights under his belt than Ike.

Ike is also already 4 years older than George when Foreman won his second title at age 45 yo, occurring 7 years into Foreman’s comeback.

Of course we know GF finally hung ‘em up at age 48 yo, still looking damn good vs Briggs though the decision went against him.

Ike’s a bit out there so who knows what delusions he might hold - then again, he might be a lot smarter than we think.

From what I can glean, it seems he has been out prison for at least about 1 year. I guess we just stay tuned to his channel to see what happens next, LOL.

 

Does Ike strike you as a rational thinker? Does it seem like stable thoughts run through his head?

 

Whoever clears him to compete at the elite level should go to jail immediately.

Adleast he's in better shape than some of these lard a#s heavies today but way too old to compete. Way too old.

 

That's the sad part, he physically looks in better condition than most of the heavyweights ranked in the top 10.

 

Prime for prime I would actually pick Ibeabuchi in that tbh, not saying he was as good as Tyson overall but he would’ve been a bad style for him. A prime Ibeabuchi would be a force in today’s HW division

 

You think a guy who either didn't have the skills or the brains to outbox Tua could beat prime Mike? Tyson was a much better boxer and he had an Iron chin so I don't see how Ike wins this.

 

Not winning any championships, but he could have a few years as a decent B-level fighter. Foreman and Holmes were both still solid B-level fighters at his age (Foreman looked pretty good against Briggs, and Holmes's timing was flawless against Weaver), and he looks in far better shape than either of them were at that age, and is essentially free of accumulated damage from fighting.

 

Don’t do it Ike. You may not have won a world title but you’ve still got an unbeaten record to hang your hat on.
Just imagine when Ike’s an old man of 90 and his grandkids and great grandkids ask him …” Grandad who whooped you in the ring?”
“Nobody son, nobody dun beat me, not ever. Not Tyson, not Lewis, not Bowe, not Ali, not Frazier, not Chuck Wepner. Not Nobody!”

So don’t do it Ike!
