Yeah, but sadly, it's not unusual - most stoppages over the last 35-40 years or so are early.

Extremely poor stoppage... Only a few seconds left in the rd and Byrd was on the ropes doing his thing making Ike miss... Who knows? Had the ref not stopped the fight Byrd may have completely recovered and shut Ike out over the next 5 rounds.

Byrd couldn't do anything against ibeabuchi apart from do a weak rope a dope impression
He acted like he was having success cos he knew full well he couldn't box with Ike.
The curtains closed on his performance when Ike knocked the senses out of him in the 5th. If it didn't happen in the 5th , it would have in the 6th, 7th.

Merchant was disgusted with Byrd and his pitiful theatrics. And rightfully so. He pansied around the ring for the rest of his carrer , producing the worst title fights known to the human race. And arguably lost of all of them.

And you wished that happened since he is Wlads best win and made Vitali quit.

Merchant was a tool with that comment, everyone knows when you get knocked out often you really don't know you have been knocked out, thus when the REF calls the fight you think the REF is crazy and just jumped to a wacko decision,,Byrd started freaking out on the REF and Merchant took it way too far saying Byrd was low class, he just didn't remember being out and thus felt the ref was making a unfair call, it happens all the time.

Merchant was already fed up with Byrd for his non boxing. The protesting just top his anger off.

Can't be as pethatic as your sick hatred. You only hate Byrd because he was one of the best fighters of late 90s/early 2000s and he got completely dominated and thoroughly outclassed by Wlad.

It's so true as is his hatred for Golovkin as he's promoted by K2.

Ike ibeabuchi beat a better version of Byrd more dominantly and more convincingly than Wlad.

Dino, would you ever physically hurt Vlad if you could get away with it?

No he didn't. He outpowered him and stopped him by a premature stoppage and didn't outclass or dominate him like Wlad did. And 2000-03 version was the best Byrd, the version who beat Tua and got dominated by Wlad.

Listen to me newbie .. A 5th round stoppage is a more dominant and convincing win than a 12 round points decision.
I'll tell ya that for free.

Ike fought Byrd in America, where he wasn't undertrained and jet lagged like he was against Wlad.

Universim banned Byrd from having any tune up fights after he took Vitali's belt. He had to wait on the couch while Wlad kept active against Bostice and Barret.

Then they dragged Byrd over to Germany , where he was under 200 pounds on the flight over due to in-activity.

And Wlad still couldn't stop him. :rofl:oops:

But Ike blasted a much better Byrd into absolute oblivion.

You would be funny if you wasn't so tragic.
