Ike Ibeabuchi returns to the ring today (Dec. 7)

The event has been removed from BoxRec, searching for the fight card is no longer avaliable. According to a Youtube comment on Ben Wilson's channel (Ike's quasi representative/spokesperson) Ike has said the fight is postponed to the 14th and Wilson has announced he is producing a video addressing and following the reschedule.

It has been confirmed that the fight is rescheduled to the 14th as fighters on the card couldn't make it in time to the venue. However, Ike has been offered a title shot against WBF Heavyweight Champion Arnold Gjergjaj by WBF President Howard Goldberg following this bout..

 

Arnold is this random with a decent record (38-3) who fought David Haye in 2016 and lost by 2nd-round TKO. He won the, at the time, vacant WBF heavyweight championship in 2023 after beating unknown cruiserweight and heavyweight contender Bilal Laggoune by split decision.

As for the WBF President, Howard Goldberg, he has maintained his position since 2009. According to the organisation's website he has been involved in boxing as both a judge and a referee in several world championship bouts and title bouts in South Africa. He was also manager of Francois Botha in the early 2010s. (According to the WBF's website). He was meant to supervise the fightcard's main event on the 7th but, as we all know, it didn't happen, and Ike was present at the venue (or atleast in Nigeria) so they could've interacted one way or another.

Don't take me for granted I spent like 5 minutes skimming through articles and the org's website to write an answer.

 

His hype train is gonna die off soon, he didn't have enough coverage and a sufficient fanbase during his peak, he's only known for throwing the most punches in a heavyweight fight and for appearing in The Ring magazine like twice.

Fight has been rescheduled to an obscure date next year. Highly doubt the fight will go into fruition at all!
