Ike by early KO .. mismatch. I know this is a fantasy thread and most of these posts prove it .

Stop that, just stop it....... How many punches did Rock average per round in both LaStraza matches?...It wasn't hard for Ike to land 78 punches against a stump that just stood in front of him..... Charles might not have been wheelchair bound had he not got his body broken by the Rock.

If a fighter tests positive they can be declared as a cheat, other than that it's all speculation.

If you are going resort to supposition and baseless accusation, it is impossible to have a reasonable discussion. You can always move the goal posts to benefit your stance.

Yes, he put up a valiant display in that last round. Marciano was a true champ with tons of heart and a great fighter. I have been consistent in that opinion. That said, I counted 80 punches in that last round, most of which were in the last minute as he tried to close the show... or about the number Ibeabuchi averaged over 12 rounds against a much larger, much more dangerous fighter than Charles.

    Not my stance.

Pretty sure it was over 100. I might count, but really who cares. You were bullshiting. Ike does not have higher output. We have footage against him throwing punches a lot against a heavy-bag. Congrats.

I threw 975 punches in 12 rounds against Tua which is 81.25 punches per round. I counted Marciano throwing about that many in round 15 against Charles, not before. You are welcome to provide me with your counts. I think it should also be noted that Ike was throwing against one of the most powerful punchers the division has seen, not against a used-up lightheavy. He had a lot to lose with each opening.

To say Marciano had a higher output is not demonstrable on film.

Keep bolstering the Samoan left hooker. I'm sure you'll be happy to know he's making a comeback.

It's a shame there's only 5 rounds of Charles-Marciano on film. I wouldn't be surprised if the 15 round fight could've had the highest amount of punches thrown. I'm sure it's up there.

What was Ike's general punch out-put when not facing the stationary Samoan left hooker? I'm sure much lower.

Marciano became more of a high volume swarmer when he won the title. If you actually believe he wasn't average 80 punches a round in many of those fights then you're willfully ignorant, or just trolling.

What's next, Tua was a more accomplished HW than the former HW champ whom defended the crown nine times. Did Tua even have 9 wins against ranked contenders?

If you think Ike had a higher punch-out and was better conditioned than Marciano then you probably think highly of him. You may then suspect him to have the goods to have beat Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, and perhaps even Holyfield. A shame we never had the chance to know just how good Ike could've been.
