Why do you keep making these proclamations of ignorance?

Had you followed the progression of the discussion you would see there was talk of Marciano's output. I was illustrating that Marciano was not alway a high-output machine but had up till very close to the end of his career been a lower output guy who liked to set up home run shots. It has a lot to do with this match-up if he brings that same approach into the theoretical ring with Ike.

You picked Walcot as an example who back peddled most of the fight. I see you only like to quote the little part of people's posts that suit you and ignore the parts where you get disproven.

It was the first fight on my DVD.

And by the way, there was plenty of opportunity for inside work but the best work Marciano did there was the dozen or so glaringly obvious headbutts.

And furthermore, Walcott threw and landed plenty of leather... so his output was fine.

Again, protean to the match-up upon which this topic is based, I do not see Marciano throwing 80 punches a round against Ibeabuchi.

Why not? Ike wouldn't be on the backfoot and Marciano has thrown 80-100 punches per round.

You going to cry about it or are you going to disprove it?

I'd never cry about anything you said peaches.

I'd say any man holding a world heavyweight title is, at the very least, good.

    Against Cockell?

And Ike has thrown 85 punches a round against one of the hardest hitting power punchers the division has ever seen.

Do we want to rather speak of a typical Marciano and a typical Ibeabuchi performance?

Ibeabuchi is overrated, he was a strong guy but I can“t see good skills and he was slow of foot and hands...
    Marciano by TKO inside 5.

LaStraza and a host of others. He never stopped hitting. His punch output used increase as the rounds went on. Charles was getting hit non stop without break in the 15th round. How he sustained that workrate into the 15th round is beyond belief.........And you ignore his power. Doesn't matter if you're 200, 250 or 300 pounds , nobody is brushing off a short 6 inch punch from Rock on the inside, and he will get plenty of oppurtunity to load up on Ike.

Cockell brushed off about 400 of them.

Rocky did nothing in that fight till the 7th round and in the 9th round Cockel was blown away. Plus Cockel's chin was made of wrought iron.

Also cockell was never the same again. He never should have put that much effort into staying up, don never won another fight and had bad health the rest of his life.
