Tua has a marginally better resume. Tua would stop Zhang, Zhang will gas by round 4 because the fight would be a phonebooth and Tua will be landing 90% of his power shots

Joyce would 100% lose to Chris Byrd, and Joyce is slow as hell, he has a homer simpson style. Tua would have a field day slipping his shots and landing leaping left hooks on Joyce. Nobody has ever went to Joyces body either, the height is the only problem

    Joyce beats Tua

Byrd is an interesting one on the one hand Joyce can just walk through everything Byrd throws on the other hand Byrd should be able to win rounds easily

Joyce probably stops him like he did Joseph Parker but these are really interesting matchups

Parker had no KO power. Joyce cannot wear Tua down unless he comes at him all night and Tua would tee off on him. Does Joyce even have the better chin here ? He might have the workrate, Tua is the bigger puncher with a huge speed advantage. Chisora was able to see everything coming and even knocked Joyce down

I don't really he was better than Sanchez head to head. He also fought a stupid fight against Ike and totally lacked the power to make Ike pay.

Yes and Joyce at the time of the Chisora fight was shot

    A prime Joyce beats Chisora

I like Joyce to win vs Tua mainly because of volume

If I remember correctly, Joyce didn't like the body shots from Takam. Either way, yeah, Tua likely breaks some ribs.

As of now it's Ike for me, but it depends on how Kabayel does against some subsequent opposition.

Chisora was about as shot as Joyce

Eh? I was not saying anything about Kabayel's style or even predicting who'd win a hypothetical between Ibeabuchi and Kabayel. Out of context much?

The context is simply this: You claimed Ibeaubuchi was not doing well against Byrd. I disagreed. I had him winning the fight till the stoppage (as had Lederman, I think), and he was breaking Byrd down with body attacks that would have made life even more miserable as the fight went on. It was a stylistic mismatch for Byrd. Even if he didn't get caught in the 5th, he would have eventually been caught, because Ibeaubuchi is a volume puncher with power, not a guy who throws intermittent bombs that Byrd can avoid throughout the night.

Kabayel is a volume puncher with power—that’s my point. And Kabayel has superior body punching and experience. Ike was learning on the job and never became a complete product.

Okay, but as I stressed, I was strictly questioning your view whether Ike was not doing well against Byrd.

Byrd went to the ropes and had no power to offer. I think a more experienced Byrd would’ve at least tried to keep things in the middle of the ring like he did against Tua. Interestingly, Ike priced himself out of a Grant fight and his power was levels better than Byrd’s.

Guys who weren’t watching boxing back then tend to not know that Grant was rightfully viewed as a much bigger threat than Byrd in the late 90s.
