I think Ike will brutalize Toney and will have finished him before the 7th Round opening bell rings.

This is actually a very good match up especially if its a in shape focused Toney. I'd picture it being something like the Tua vs Ibeabuchi in that it would be contested at a fairly close distance for the most part with sustained action. I think Toney like Tua would land the cleaner punches and beater combinations, I'd expect him to land some extremely flashy excellent combinations on Ike and put together some very good rallys even getting Ike in a bit of trouble at points. Ibeabuchi proved to be very durable though and the difference in the fight might be Ibeabuchi's work rate. I think Ibeabuchi would out work Toney and would hit hard enough and be strong enough to keep Toney on the defenses enough to win more rounds and get the decision. It is possible Ibeabuchi may be the guy who'd knock Toney out but its hard to picture anyone being able to do that.

Toney's power is nowhere near Tua's.

Ike is was too busy, big, athletic and complete for Toney to win this.

I f the Ike that fought Tua was in the ring with Toney, it would be lights out for James:dead, doubt Toney would make it to the 9th round....

    ^ This.

Ike is very wrong for Toney. He'sthe perfect type of fighter to leverage traditional heavyweight advantages against Toney, in a way that Peter, Ruiz, and Rahman weren't. Even the in-shape version of Toney who demolished Holyfield gets slaughtered.

Did I say Toney's power was....? I know that but Tua's boxing ability is no where near the level of Toney's and I feel Toney may be able to hurt Ibebuchi much like how he hurt Jirov in the final round by accumulation of clean combinations from Toney. I don't think he'd be able to put Ibeabuchi down though.

If Byrd can't avoid Ike, Toney has very little chance of seeing the final bell.

Ike landing that uppercut on Byrd sounds like someone hitting a cricket ball with a cricket bat

brutalized my ass. Toney's far too skilled and badass to let that happen. not to mention experienced. Ibeabuchi only really fought Tua and Byrd and he didn't brutalize either of them. he caught Byrd with a good shot when he previously was missing just about everything else and it was stopped when the round was over and Byrd looked like he could've at least gotten the chance to go to his stool to recover. Toney is a totally different assignment.

"I like Ike" but Toney gives him a tough fight. I think it goes the distance but Toney gets dropped once or twice. They may both win 6 rounds but the knockdown or knockdowns win the fight for Ike.

Ike would look like **** but win a unanimous decision by just going crazy.

    (See Peter fights against Toney.)
