You don’t like that Ortiz was competitive with Wilder. It can’t be that Wilder beat someone good. And Ortiz was much better when he had a gas tank.

Ike was a sitting duck for Lennox and Vitali, but the hype lives on because he couldn’t hold it together enough for those fights to come off.

Why would I not like it? An unproven fighter schooled and badly hurt Wilder. I don't like Wilder. That plays into my hands. As it happens I was a big Wilder fan when the first fight happened, I was very surprised by how well Ortiz did, but I still knew that Ortiz was an overrated contender who's success came from over matched opposition.

Wilder's best win is completely unproven aside from one person who's claim to fame is winning 3 rounds against an old ass Wlad and going 12. Ortiz was also 38. Wilder's 2nd best win was a fatass who's best win was another fatass who couldn't mix up a world level. Stiverne was also 36.

These are facts. Wilder hasn't beaten anybody good yet.

Anyways, this thread isn't about Wilder and I cba and don't want to derail it. You're talking like Ortiz is remotely comparable to those two. He's not. In the slightest. He's not even comparable to Tua or Byrd...

Byrd wouldn’t do well today. Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Usyk and 2018/2019 Ortiz would beat him. Dillianabol, Old Povetkin, Miller, Hunter, halfway in shape Ruiz, Parker, Kabayal, Hergovic and others would be favored or close to pick em. I don’t know that he’d be top ten. He’d be a cruiserweight.

Tua would be up shits creek because there aren’t many chinny heavies around.

And Ike was known in the gyms for his limitations. He was going to be exposed.

Tua was kept from being champion in his era. I see several opportunities to maneuver him to at least a significant strap in the current landscape. He would have done well against Parker when Joseph still held the WBO belt, for example. He might have even replicated Ruiz' success with AJ in their first match.

Parker is tough as nails and Tua never beat a good opponent by decision. I’d favor Parker because he’s probably be able to go 12.

Ruiz fought valiantly against Joshua and rallied to take control of the fight. Tua totally shelled up and didn’t go for it after about four rounds v. Lewis. I wouldn’t favor Tua there either.

The last heavyweight champ he’d beat that I remember was Charles Martin (or the 280 pound version of Ruiz).

2 Fighters who I think are massively overrated by some on this forum. Tua is the only decent name which appears on either resume.

Ike probably wears Ortiz down and stops him late.

Tua is also tough as nails. Sure, his offense disappeared fighting Lennox Lewis, but that was Lewis. Alex Leapai had to ask politely before Parker threw anything other than a jab.

At his best, he set the record for punches thrown in a fight along with Ike Ibeabuchi. This is not a man I would favor Parker to win a decision over.

 Ortiz? Ok then. Wrong. Byrd is made to beat Wilder, you miss the Spzilka fight?Joshua, Fury and Usyk do win, so you have a point but that's 3 of the top 10... No more.
Literally none of them would beat the Byrd. Hunter and Hrgovic(yes that it how it's spelt) have the best chances but even then one just drew with an old man and the other's unproven after looking like **** against shot Eric Molina.

You know this was only 15 years ago? If Byrd was gonna be a cruiserweight now he'd have been one then, dumbass.
The two HW champions are chinny....

By who? An ATG? that's not being exposed that's losing to Lewis or Vitali...
Surely these limitations would be hard hitting Samoan like Tua and he would've checked his chin... Surely a slick southpaw Olympian with cute movement and footwork would show his limitations and box his ass off...

    You talk ****

I'm convinced that you weren't really watching boxing back then. The statements about Byrd are just too low level. Keep defending sex offenders because you don't like Wilder and therefore don't like the guy he beat. Dillianabol ducked Ortiz twice. Never forget.

I wasn't... Wow! First time NoNeck has gotten something right! I don't like Ike either wise guy. I didn't like Ortiz before he fought Wilder, I'm not a fan of steroids or people who don't fight the best. I've since gone off Whyte too... So smart-ass spin on it.

Ortiz doesn't deserve the boogeyman tag he's got, he's ducked Joshua and Whyte and hasn't fought anyone worth ****. Whyte offered him the biggest pay day of his career at the time to fight him in the UK, he refused. Ortiz wanted to dictate things and Whyte wasn't having it. Ortiz shamelessly refused the Joshua fight with no excuse at all. At least Ibeabuci fought guys who accomplished something worthwhile.

You're okay with sex offenders and Dillianabol the obese roid head. BTW Ike likely was juiced.

I don't like Ike and have gone off Dillian, a doctor should really learn to read. Furthermore don't you wank Antonio Tarver?

You think I don't know that? I don't like Ike... Learn to read.
