Ibeabuchi "s career hadn't gone the way it did and he'd managed to keep on fighting. Meeting these guys of the time from 2000 onward, how s it play out? Kirk Johnson Danny Williams Old Tyson Hasim Rahman Wladimir Klitchko And meeting Lewis around 2002?
Looked very good from the start, slugged ist out with powerhouse Tua, then chased slickster Byrd through the ring, barely losing a round until shutting him down. Thats two totally different styles to overcome. Scary comb. of stamina, chin and power, but imho missed agility due to his 6'2" fireplug frame. Could have gone all the way imho.
He had the right tools, least most of em. Real shame he ended up losing it. Those names I threw down, if he'd carried on as he were, he'd have beaten all except Lewis, but would love to have seen that one.
Having Ike gone either lowered or raised Wlad and Lewis career. Imagine he beats both of them how that changes the history of the division? Or maybe Lewis gets a win over him that would raise his stock imo (already rate him 3-5 depending on what day it is). Could have gone all the way.
I agree, I think he's got an excellent chance at Wlad too. Vitali and Lewis less so but Ike is a handful, even if overrated.
He's got an excellent chance against Wlad imo too. If, and I knows it's a big if, he'd stayed on course, not had a melt down, then there's only Lewis that I see as the guy to get past. If lke had perhaps wiped out Rahman and faced Lennox in his place.. Well perhaps we're looking at Ibeabuchi the world champion! I know there s a lot of, if s and but s, who knows? Ike definitely had the potential to step in to the void left by Lennox, perhaps dealing with the K Bros and changing the next decade of heavyweights history.
Big possibility for sure. In a short space of time he def showed he'd be a major threat to the top guys.
