You clearly don’t understand the circumstances provided, I’m not going to stoop to your level nothing I say will make you understand, so I won’t try.

Oh btw, 80% of the guys on classic are locked in a completely nostalgic mindset lol.

I must be one of the dumb one's.

When he said , and i quote - "it’s my belief that he would rule in Louis’s place." i assumed he meant as he typed. I saw nothing about "physical prime" anywhere.

If he said if he could stay mentally stable that would have changed the game a little.

No-one stays in their physical prime. If Louis stayed in his physical prime he would never have lost to Charles, may have beaten Marciano, would have beaten Patterson and may well have beaten Liston.

Opposition is only one aspect of the difficulty in reigning over a long long time.

I disagree. Imo he was beaten once in his career albeit closely. Had he fought more at the top level I'm confident more holes would have appeared along with losses on his record.

Calling women ,who are victims of violence at the hands of big ass men, liars is a slippery slope that I don't care to go down. The dude was weird and was a very violent individual who was locked up for good reason. The streets were safer with him gone. Whatever your personal opinions of women in sex work are, they're your own. Plus there were multiple accusations against him. I don't support dudes who take advantage of women and think they owe them something and you give off the vibe that you do.

Yeah the small light heavy Joe weight drained himself against would utterly embarrass Ike, god people like you are obnoxious they aren’t superhero’s because the film is in black and white.

Apologies I assumed differently, the thread is actually quite lacking in detail referring to which version of Ike would be used, and how we would asses the question based on Ike fighting for such a short duration.

why did you mention that last paragraph I’m curious that had nothing to do with my argument?

Did you ever actually see Ike fight ?? I knew him from the time he walked into Curtis Cokes Home of Champions gym in Dallas Tx in 93 I believe.
He walked in saying " I'm going to be world champ & be God's champ & no man will beat me". Curtis grinned & said " Lets see what youve got then"
He was just a crude banger & it was Curtis that transformed him into the complete boxer puncher. Yes he was a loose cannon at times but nowhere near the monster they claimed. He needed help not imprisonment.
I watched Curtis work with him & saw him regularly when he was training in the gym.
He came from nowhere really When he fought Tua I claimed he would beat Tua & got ridiculed but he did just that. I was at the fight & David had no problem with Ike getting the decision & said " We got to do that again dont we." ? He almost decapitated Byrd lol who claimed " I wasnt even knocked down let alone out" lol Then when he saw the replay his reaction was " **** " !!
Every trainer wants to train a World Heavyweight Champion & Curtis was training two at that time that could have got it for him Ike & Kirk Johnson
Neither made it for very different reasons that was a tragedy too
Oh BTW I think **** is an abhorrant crime & those found guilty should pay the price. but Ike was never found guilty that hooker wasnt touched or harmed. Her story was she only came to DANCE for him lol Yeah Sure !

Do you think that twelve years is pretty overrated as a period of time, because that is what he is up against?

Oh it’s the most ridiculous prison sentence in history. Even if he did beat up a hooker who gives a ****. He should’ve gotten a $50 fine at the most

Yea I think a lot of us can make a pretty long list of fighters who can beat Louis’ opponents, but when it comes to the consistency of such a long reign it’s really only a handful of guys. Ike definitely isn’t one of them
