What... how the heck would Gomez or Ibragimov have matched his speed and power... not to mention he had a far better jab then both?

I just wanted to check something - this is the same Ike Ibeabuchi that struggled against old trialhorse Marion Wilson and needed 9 rounds to get rid of journeyman Everton Davis, right?

    Just wanted to make sure.

Ike is truly the James Dean of boxing.

Yeah, that's close. Or you could say the same old trialhorse Marion Wilson who - was only stopped once in his entire career and that was on a cut - while outweighed by 40 lbs fought one Ray Mercer to a draw who soon thereafter gave a prime Lennox quite a scare in a very tough and narrow majority decision fight in '96. Apparently the trial horse fought a lot of fighters and nobody was stopping him.

And, yeah he needed 9 rounds to get rid of Everton Davis who called it a career wrap after the TKO 9. The same Davis who did drop Kirk Johnson in the prior year.

I guess it depends on how you want to parse your information.

That is the main problem with the division right now. To rule it you must be very well rounded:
    - quickness to get in and out of the way
    - powerful enough to make you punches count
    - good defense (either dodge or block or be tall enough to lean back)
    - ring generalship
    - enough stamina to go the championship rounds
    - enough chin to soak up the fire you are facing
    - able to switch plans if plan A goes AWOOL

Of the current HW division, only two boxers come to mind who have most of these qualities...
