Last info I had he was being deported to his native Nigeria but due to ebola virus it was delayed, now I don't know but my question is, ok if that guy get his shape back even at 42 years old he can still be a serious challenge considering the weakness of the heavyweight division. What will happen when he is deported, will he be free or what. Will he get back in the ring, is there a chance to see him fight again?

He has stated that he is not interested in boxing, and last I saw he weighed like 350 pounds.

He's trying to make it back. Whether he can get a passport is another matter. Whether he will be any good is another still.

He was in the Tua ballpark in his prime, don't expect much from that man now, even if he can get back in shape.
Add to that the problem he would have fighting in the major boxing countries, wich only works with a big promoter behind you.

I have no expectations. I am just more interested to see Ibeabuchi than any other heavyweight at the moment. I understand many seems to dislike him because of his criminal past but he served his time, he faced the music and now he is a free man. Now the futur: he's apparently going to fight in april undercard of Pacquiao main event. Is that a done deal or still in process?

    If you have information...

C level fighter, as a whole while in his prime. Now 2 decades (TWO decades) later you think he'll be that much better than he was.

    That's pathetic

One picture I saw and he weighed 350 pounds.. Another picture I saw and he was a bald, frail looking old man who looked 60 instead of 42.

  11. If he was 42 and in shape 5 years ago under Klits reign I would make him the massive favorite but today the landscape is different

There are a lot of strong fighters these days, and Ibeabuchi's age has nothing to do with it

Mansour is 43 and competive with younger contenders in fact he beat the limited but highly touted Washington (though the judges didn't see it)

The HW division is strong again. Very strong.

It's ok but the main purpose of this thread is to get confirmation he's back. Then there will be another thread by another user when it's time for predictions and stuff.

His criminal record makes it difficult.

Hmm. Any chance of smoothing things over with good behaviour. They say he god some of that edumacation in there and maybe that will help his case.
