Ike Ibeabuchi

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by prophetofboxing, Apr 6, 2016.

  1. Ibeabuchi looks mad and in great shape, I can't post links because I am new but google it on fightnews

At any rate, power is the last thing to go, and a good chin never really goes away. Ibeabuchi had and probably still has both of those. He could make some serious noise still.

This new heavyweight division is INSANE

Top HWs today in my opinion
    1. Wilder
    2. Fury
    3. Ortiz
    4. Joshua
    5. Martin
    6. Parker
    7. Klit

Strong Contenders on the way up
    1. Rivas (Eye problems are not career threatening and he underwent surgery)
    2. Teslenko
    3. Kenzie Morrison
    4. Breazeale
    5. Ugonoh
    6 Trevor Bryan
    7. Washington
    8. Ibeabuchi
    9. Jarell Miller

There is a fighter from the Ukraine that just started I think he is like 3 or 4 fights in and he looks spectacular, it's not Usyk... the guy I am thinking of is a big guy and moves extremely well, he's like 6'6 and has a strong amatuer career, anyone know who I am talking about? I saw a fight weeks ago and was very impressed.

You're probably talking about Teslenko but he's 6'4 at tops.

I will always remember Ike from his fights with Byrd and Tua :deal

they were great fights,,, I was in awe of Byrds defensive abilities and was thinking he could become a legend and BAM, what a shot, how Byrd got up from that is a credit to how tough he was :thumbsup

Ike Ibeabuchi still thinks that he can win the lineal hvw title. He looks like an old man taking them wonder pills and thinking he can still fight.

yeah that's what I said "rarely" lol,

I wish him the best too, I loved his style and skills before he went to the can :bbb

and his motor for a big dude, lots of stamina, I have just seen too many older dudes fail so I am cautious :rasta

George was a former world Champion and Olympic Gold medalist that was out of the ring for 10 years,

Ike is coming out of prison/semi insane after what 17 years?

Despite the fact that he obtained a few degrees in prison, I don't think
    Ike has many other options.

For years people would post optimistically about Ike making a comeback upon his release. Most scoffed but a select very cynical few of us kept on cautioning "guys, this is boxing we're talking about. This sport is ridiculous. This could eventually actually happen..."

    ...and here we are.

"They are not good. I can beat all of them in one night, I swear to God. They are not good. What the world has now is heavyweights that are mediocre as compared to the likes of Lewis and Tyson or Holyfield. These guys can’t fight! You can see that. I could go in there and beat all of them up, I swear to God.”

Don't know about his skills, but his ego certainly hasn't diminished. I look forward to seeing him try to make a run.
