Any truth in the rumours of a planned ibeabuchi return in 2017 as per the telegraph and independent. If so I struggle to imagine him offering anything at the age of 44. 20-0-0 15ko's. He would be classed as a relatively small heavyweight at 6'2. Before his lock up he was the next big thing in boxing.

I would imagine he could still blast out mediocre heavyweights with padded records... Think the guys Ruddock was fighting a few years ago in his age 50+ comeback.

Ibeabuchi was released by the Nevada prison system in Feb 2014 and then handed to the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement, which detained him until Nov 2014.

That was 2 years ago now. If he planned on returning to the ring surely he would have done it by now.

Didn't he have his parole revoked or something? Never read what happened other than that about 6 months back.

Yes I did. But I am talking about him having his parole revoked which I believe happened either late 2015 or early 2016.

He was supposed to come back this year on the undercard of Pac-Bradley III but he violated his probation.

Any comeback by Ike would be ill conceived at best.......What Amir Mansour
did after a decade on lock was utterly amazing and I seriously doubt duplicatable.

Mansour came back at the age of 38 and has looked his age the last few years. He had some time to adapt to his old age.
