ODL fought all three when they were undefeated and came out 1-3 when the smoke cleared, yet none of these cats fought each other. (altough DLH should have gotten the nob from Trinidad)

How would each have fared against one another during their relative undefeated periods? Say...Early 1999 or there about.

Oscar deserved the nod over Mosley in the second bout as well so it should be 3-1 in his favour imo.

I'd heavily favour Trinidad over Quartey but a Mosley win in a barn burner over Tito wouldn't be a surprise for me.

I'd give Quartey in his prime a big chance against Mosley as good jabs gave Shane serious trouble and Ike's was one of the very best but the peak Mosley of the first Oscar fight was brilliant and it's a real pick'em and I'll sit on the fence for it, suffice to say it's a fight I'd have loved to see.

Quartey definitely outboxes Mosley and probably outboxes Trinidad, although Tito has a punchers chance as ever

Mosley-Trinidad is a war, favour Trinidad but it's a toss up, given Mosley is quicker and has the better chin

And Quartey deserved the nod over Oscar

It was close no doubt about that but Oscars last round rally and near stoppage probably edged it for me. That said I've only watched their fight a few times but not scored it so I'll have to give it another go.

How did you score it out of interest?

Haven't watched it recently but 9-3 or 8-4 from memory, the last round was a great round for Oscar but for most of the fight Quartey picked off most of his shots off with his high guard and controlled the fight with his jab

    Agreed.

The only thing that Oscar won in this fight was the knockdown war, 2-1.

I had Quartey winning this fight and most at ringside had it the same regardless of the knockdown in the last round. After exchanging kds in the 6th, Quartey dominated the fight with his jab and right hand. The only bit of solace Oscar's camp can take away from this fight is that Foreman said "a challenger can't take a champion's title by getting knocked down in the last round."

As for the thread, they all would be wars. I could see Quartey vs Trinidad as a battle of the jabs.
Even Jim Lampley's commentary said most of the story. "Going into the last three rounds, Oscar DelaHoya is in trouble." Oscar won the 10th and the 12th, but it wasn't enough to overtake Quartey in the scoring as far as I'm concerned.

I can't really see how you could score the Quartey fight for DLH unless you're really generous to Oscar. The rounds were easy to score since not much happened in most of them. It was Quartey doing little and Oscar doing less.

Tito rallies to stop Ike in the mid to late rounds.

    Ike outboxes Shane.

Not really sure about Tito vs Shane, but I'll lean towards Tito. Shane fights like a brawler and would get caught too much by Trinidad's precision punching.

Granted the DLH-Quartey fight was pretty darned close. What do you think of the DLH - Trinidad fight? To me Oscar did anything he wanted, anytime he wanted and Trinidad didn't/couldn't land two punches in a row on DLH the whole fight. Yet DLH landed combo after combo. I was very surprised when Trinidad got the nod.
DLH was such a big moneymaker, I always thought he'd always get the benefit of the doubt if the fight was close(like he may have vs Quartey). to me, this fight didn't even seem close, so the decision surprised me.

I think Trinidad beats them all. I think Quartey beats Mosley.

It seemed like the thing he wanted to do most was run round the ring and not throw any punches and that wasn't just in the last 3 rounds. On balance he outlanded Tito in most rounds but only fought for about 20-30 seconds of each round. That won't impress judges, Trinidad was coming forward and the fans boo'ed.

Fights like this should have both men losing

I agree with you.....about Quartey vs Mosley and vs Trinidad.....

And Mosley vs Trinidad I would bet my money on Mosley, because like you said, quicker, better chin, and not so much power as Trinidad, but even so an amazing power......

Based on what did Mosley have a better chin?

Tito wobbled easy, but when he got down to business, his chin was every bit as good as Mosley's imo.

Tito took a tremendous ass whipping from Hopkins before wilting. I can't see Mosley dishing out that level of punishment to stop Tito.

I think Trinidad would walk Mosley down and ultimately bomb him out.
