I don't see how this is debatable. Clottey was a homeless man's Quartey. Ike was better in every way, and would win a WIDE decision.
U really think so? I actually thought Clottey was very underrated. I though he won his fight with Cotto and at his best could beat any welterweight expect for the super elites like Pacquiao.
I thought he beat Cotto as well, but that's not saying much. My opinion on Cotto has never been super high. Quartey would have stomped a hole in Cotto.
Quartey would win this. I feel like both guys are underrated with Quartey especially being a hall of fame quality fighter. It's to bad he had such long layoffs and lost those close fights with Oscar and Vargas. I thought he beat Veronon Forest cleanly and could have beaten Trinidad, Cotto and Mosley had he got those fights. He had the skillset and toughness to give anyone a hard time and 147/154.
Quartey by decimation. Quartey vs Cotto would've been sweet. Quartey vs Tszyu even sweeter...meaning he destroys them both. Yeah, Ike was the man for a while there. Too bad he never got a shot at Trinidad.
