Yep, and he was coming strong against Vargas at the end, but was the right call. He even hurt Vargas a few times

Oscar won that fight going away.

Ike could be figured out, but only by the best.

his last fight was a one sided lost to Winky Wright about a year ago.... 154 doesn't have many veterans in that division....

    Isn't Seamus irish for James~??

Going away? What do you mean by that?

I had Quartey winning by a point.

I'd retire too if I got robbed like he did against Forrest.

I think he, much like Winky Wright, is waiting for a big money fight that may never come his way.

one of my favorite fighters, i wish he would stay more active. But yea, getting screwed all the time can discourage a man.

which sucks because 154 is WIDE open... if he would just get busy i have no doubt he could become champion and help his legacy.

    Ike vs Bunema
    Ike vs Roman
    Ike vs Spinks

are all fights that would be awsome to me and i think he would win with obviously spinks being the hardest one.

I had Oscar winning by two points.

I liked Quartey quite a bit. It just seemed he never had a Plan B. A really good Plan A but the better fighters seemed to get by it.

The Lopez fight was pretty awesome. I remember they initially scored it for Quartey but somehow it was changed to a draw. Lopez really had him going by the end of it but Quartey hung on.

Quartey is an extremely successful buisnessman in Ghana....he doesn't need to fight....which makes him all the more dangerous because when he does fight it's for legacy. His comeback kind of didn't go as well as it should have. Ike was robbed against Forrest and then he fought a fighter in Wright who is hard to look good against....at 160 I believe. I agree with the poster who stated that Ike could be a champion again....excellent, excellent fighter. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight again.
