i am waiting for the tyson lovers saying bul**** type "tyson would destroy him easily" , ike ibeabuchi wa stronger than mike, bigger, 15-17 pounds heavier prime vs prime, he was taller, he had good stamina, he took heavy shots going toe to toe with tua who was a harder puncher than mike... , tyson was faster, more skilled, better combination puncher, better reflexes and better defence .i go with mike by decision but i am not 100% confident, h2h is not legacy

Even if Ibeabuchi did take Tua's punches and Tua is comparable in power to Tyson it doesn't mean Tyson wouldn't land better punches that consequently do more damage. Tyson is a skill level above Tua so would set up bigger punches and more brutal combinations.

Ibeabuchi fighting Tyson in the pocket and exchanging is playing into Tyson's hands, unless he forces Tyson back like Holyfield managed to do. A younger Tyson ofcourse keeps coming more relentless than the Holyfield version.

So yes a Tyson KO is possible, but Ike may well hang in for a UD

 

actually tua did hit harder than tyson,HE HAD MORE STAMINA AND BETTER CHIN TOO, and ike COULD KO TYSON TOO. smith was strong enough to last the distance with tyson i think that ike could give tyson a nightmare

 

It's not just the power Tyson has its the speed of which he punches land

 

Tua went into survival mode when things went wrong. That was because not least he had poor conditioning, which was not going to benefit his stamina.

His chin was soundish, Tyson's was probably better though, as he should an ability to take bombs, that Tua never did.

As for power; Tua had his left hook. Tyson had the left hook, and the right hand and the hand speed...

 

yes it is truth, i was watching now again kos of ike and fights of tyson comparing kos, and ike was a gorilla, and he landed blows like a ****** compared with tyson, so i will change my prediction here, tyson by clear ud. the difference of skill and class was bigger than i did remember

 

forget it, and tua had more power than tyson , and better stamina too. tua took shots from ike, rahman(29w-24kos)or lewis, he could take huge bombs

 

Forget what? Where is the evidence Tua had more power? Where are two sided battles that Tua took into the later rounds?

Yes you are right... But Tua was no Neville Meade, he would of destroyed Tua and Tyson in the same night. Tua's left hook, forget it, Meade's jab had more on it...

 

the evidence?, the evidence is that i have eyes in my face and tua did more damage shot for shot than tyson, he was more robust ,stronger and heavier, he had heavier hands , lewis fought careful against tua and he never traded with him, and he fought aggressive against tyson, lewis did respect the power of tua more than tyson´s, the knock of tua over ruiz is more brutal than any ko in the career of tyson, yes tua looked clearly more powerful physicallly and harder puncher

Ike Ibeabuchi whilst having two great wins in Tua and Byrd (both undefeated when he beat them), still had alot to prove. Had he beat a couple more good heavyweights, it wouldn't be far fetched.

 

What fights were you watching? If any opponent shows up the glaring differences between Tua and Tyson it was Lewis.

A primed Tua, who some felt was going to beat Lewis froze on his biggest night. And worse still, he feared Lennox Lewis. Tua did nothing, because early on he tasted a Lewis right hand. From that moment on, Tua signed up to an unspoken agreement where if he did not throw a left hook, Lewis would not look to knock him out.

Tua spent the entire fight using his face and arms as a catching mitt to Lewis' jab, and occasional right hand. Tua was just glad to stay on his feet.

In 2002 Tyson was but a name, arguably as much as 15 years and 20lbs past his pomp. A man who had spent a number of years in jail and also spent time out of the ring due to suspension.

It was obvious from the first bell Tyson was going to lose. Lewis knew that, I knew that and most importantly Tyson knew that. But for once Tyson took the beating like a true old former champion. He knew he could not damage Lewis, but he tried. He knew he was too slow to react to counters if he threw punches, but he still threw punches, unlike Tua, Tyson gave it a go.
