nice history, lennox never fought aggressive against tua, he wanted no risk and he simply did outpoint him, HE DID RESPECT HIS POWER
Well of course. Lennox Lewis was not the finest Heavyweight of that period because he was tactically naive. But what does that have to do with anything? A prime Tua's vaunted power got him no where near the best of his era. Tyson for a few years was a level above anything in his era.
Ike has more power/skill because he watched highlights of Ike and Tyson..thats the person youre arguing with..
jesus did you even read the comment? . i said that i rewatched again and again their fights to make a more partial opinion, and i said that i pick tyson by clear decision based on that ike was much more crude,(like a gorilla) tyson was much more accurate and he was much higher in the skill department, much more than i did remember, just shut the **** puppet.
based on the limited career of Ike he looked to be durable (Tua) and a pressure fighter with solid power (Byrd) but Tyson was much more proven and would have been a severe test. This fight would have been interesting because of the mental issues of both men and which would unravel. I have to lean with Mike to stop IKE based off of who he fought and who he beat, I thought the Ike-Tua fight could have gone either way and Tyson was much more formidable than Tua and the only thing they had in common was height 5"10 and power. Tyson had a better combination speed than Tua I also think Evander would have caused Ike to crack
Tyson UD. I dont buy the Ike hype, yes he was good but if he hadnt of had his problems i have no doubt the Klits would ve dispatched him.
Tyson knocks him out. Great fight Ike and Tua had, but Mike doesn't wait his turn. Ike was built like a brick house, but Tyson's fast combinations build up mental pressure. I doubt Ike could keep up. I know about the number of punches, but Tua and Ike fought at a pace which suited both.
Tua was a massive letdown in that fight. After all the hype, all the talk about the title realistically changing hands...he basically wimped out. He landed two left hooks of note, and then...well...you described it pretty well.
What is the basis for him hitting harder? Tyson generally fought a much higher calibre of opposition and has better knock out wins than Tua Also Tua had better stamina than Tyson? :-( Tua doesn't do stamina he plods and occasionally throws a few bombs, that doesn't take stamina and no he won't get tired doing it because there's little effort involved in it. That doesn't mean he has stamina does it? Smith only lasted the distance because he held and spoiled, Ibeabuchi doesn't fight that way.
tyson was a better puncher than tua, more effective, more accurate, better combination puncher, but tyson was better puncher than anyone except maybe joe louis, but foreman,shavers,tua... and probably more guys did hit harder than him, in the test of the punchers of the 80s foreman, bruno and ruddock did hit harder than tyson. tua had heavier hands tthan tyson, you can see that the impact of his blows were much heavier, he killed ruiz... tyson never did anything even close to this massacre, and yes, tua had more stamina than tyson, yes, mike was more active in the early rounds and more explosive, but tua did carry his power in the late rounds, tyson had a more energetic(active) style and he did spend his stamina sooner , and tua had a better chin
Tua hitting harder than Tyson is another debate, but when you can see the punches coming you can take them better. Tua was slow so Ike could prepare for the shot. Tyson was lightning quick and would catch Ike in between shots with punches he could not see. I'd pick a Prime Tyson any day over Prime Ike. Aside from 2 fights we didn't really get to see what Ike was made of due to his conviction. I could see the fight going similar to Tyson-Ruddock I-II. Great war but a fight where Tyson cleary wins.
I think Ibeabuchi looked very very good. Of course he was not as proven as Tyson, but in the Tua and Byrd fights he certainly looked like someone who might possibly give a prime Tyson a tough fight, or even win. It's unfortunate that Ibeabuchi was a nut and deemed unfit to live among society. He was a very promising contender. His progress compares favaourably to anyone.
no point arguing with this guy PP, ive put him on ignore list. This was his response when i told him Tysons opposition and kos were head and shoulders above Tuas
