Ike, Tito, Oscar

    This is a spin off from a thread in the classics section.

    If young Ike Quartey, Tito Trinidad, and Oscar De la Hoya were entering the welterweight division today would they clean it out or would they be stopped by those dominating the field today?

    I think Trinidad would have problems with someone like Mayweather, but less problems with someone like Cotto. Never saw him matched with someone like Cotto, so who knows.

    True, but I see Quartey dominating Floyd.

    Ike is ferocious, yes, but it's very difficult to imagine anyone 'dominating' Mayweather.:-(

    If Mayweather had trouble with Hoya imagine what Ike's thundering jab would have done? Not to mention the attack that goes on between jabs and great defensive skills to boot.
