I dont think Willams will ko Boom Boom. Stop him yes. I think Ike cuts Mancini up and stops him in about the 7 or so rounds. Boom Boom could pull a upset you never know. He was a pretty good fighter.

You must be lookin' to just get a rise outta posters, HH. You're too savvy a boxing guy to really believe Williams is overrated. He was the whole package and ferocity.

Please, spare me the boxrec stats -- who beat beat who, this one beat that one, the other one beat him, and blah blah blah.

Ike Williams was flat-out a great great fighter. You had to see him live, and I watched him train and at ringside in MSG and Philly against Bob Montgomery, Kid Gavilan, Beau Jack, Johnny Bratton and Tippy Larkin.

Ike via beatdown. Highly doubt it goes the distance, but I don't want to totally write off Mancini's heart. The Mancini that faced Arguello might hear the final bell.

    Whatever happened to Homicidal Hank?

Anyways, Williams would tear Mancini a new one. I realy don't think it goes the distance. At all.

Pete, i figured i would give this forum a try. your worse nightmare has arrived...lol

On topic, i pick Ike Williams by UD or late KO. Mancini was a good fighter in his prime but he was never on that elite level. Styles also favor Williams. He would overwelme Mancini with his brilliant handspeed and murderous power. Its a mismatch if you ask me.

Williams would run Mancini out of the ring. He'd give him one serious pounding. A brutal knockout around the halfway stage.

Thanks for the welcome, plus this fourm seems more mature than the other site. People were really saying the most ridiculous things over there.

It is, the other forum seemed to have a very large quantity of Floyd huggers, etc. This forum, there are huggers, but usually not too big a group. The Classic Section here is excellent, always an intelligent forum. The General Forum can get out of hand sometimes, but some great posters in there as well.

Welcome. The General and classic sections are good. It's not as busy here, but its better for more in-depth views. More sensible heads around this section. Well most of the time.
