The Ike Williams I saw destroy the tough Beau Jack in Philly ,would at 140 pounds,[Ike was better at 135] soundly whip and possibly ko,the in your face Aaron Pryor. Furthermore the prime Beau Jack, who sold out MSG SEVEN times in one year, and beat a Henry Armstrong, would have put a beating on Aaron Pryor. Too bad the only film of Beau Jack, when he was at his best,is the ko at the hands of Ike Williams in 1948.Beau Jack was the best crowd pleaser I have ever seen. Bolos, hooks, crosses, uppercuts thrown in rapid succession for 15 rounds if needed. Ended his life shing shoes at the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami, where I once saw him. I walked away with tears in my eyes...Loved old Beau Jack, cause he was in the first main event bout my dad took me to at old St. Nicholas Arena...
Pryor's workrate and relentless aggression will push Ike, but Ike will "push back" so to speak. Because Ike had range on Pryor and was a vicious puncher himself, every time Aaron comes forward, Ike Williams will make him pay. Pryor goes strong late into the bout, when he finally takes too much punishment and succumbs by late TKO.
.. a pure fantasy fight because pryor would never get into the ring against ike....but ,,,ike in 6...no problem.. ..i love the shout out for beau jack....and a perfect description of his style....
