Hypothetically speaking, who would win at a catchweight of 135lbs, 15rounds of boxing.

I am intrigued by this matchup :think

Sandy was 5'8½ and Ike was 5'9.

I'm pretty sure Sadler would get stopped, late in the fight probably.

    Williams.

Saddler was great, but I give the edge to Williams.

135lbs isn't exactly a catch weight its Williams best weight and 9lbs over Saddler's best. At this weight I'd expect Williams to stop Saddler late or at the least win a clear decision.

And the thing is, this isn't Chavez having the chin and bottle to back up Rosario and suffocate him, because Williams would be the stronger, more fiery fighter.

Can´t see Saddler winning this one. He would be out of his deepth here. Far above his best weight while Williams would be at his best. Williams would be bigger and stronger and use this advantage. Saddler isn´t exactly a boxer. So, I think we will have a very competative fight early on but Wiliams overwhelms Saddler in the midrounds and beats him up until a ref steps in in the championship rounds. This would be a fan´s fight.

I totally agree that Williams , a natural lightweight, would be too strong for Sandy Saddler. Saddler was certainly an all-time great featherweight champion but could he still do it all at 135lbs? Maybe against alot of lightweight champs but not Ike Williams.

I saw them both in their primes. There is a good reason, that featherweight sandy Saddler
never challenged lightweight champion Ike Williams, was that Saddler and his mentors knew that Ike would be too strong and hit too hard for the 126 pound Saddler.
