147...Ike is above his best weight, while Tommy is below his...Hearns has the reach advantage that gave Duran lifelong memories he'd rather forget, but is a skeleton at WW...if Ike can get inside, where Tommy's ribs will be waiting... Is it Tommy's right hand or Ike's body attack that rules the night? I say if Hitman can't put him out early, he'll get tired...and worn down.
I really find that hard to envisage...Hearns was still excellent and destructive at 147, he really was no better at 154.. He just ranks there better because of its overall lack of depth compared to welterweight. I think Hearns knocks him out in the mid rounds...I dont think Ike has the punch or physical strength at the weight to wear Tommy down..or even trouble him greatly to tell you the truth.
Hearns was great at 147 and a match for anyone really. Especially Williams who was at his best at 135. Silly matchup, Hearns K.O at some point.
What kind of ****ing chump are you.... Tommy arguably at his most dangerous at 147 where he became the Hitman... Ike would have caught a nosebleed that high in weight! Bloody Muppet!!!!
after about five posts he'd done that...........but apparntly you and I need to look at 'the technical aspects'..............I mean, WTF have we been doin' all this time, I feel like I've had an epiphany, I was just using guesswork before atsch
I don't think Hearns was below his best weight; in his youth he was very comfortable at WW and LMW, and, relative to the weight, his punching power was probably most destructive there. There's only really one way to beat Tommy decisively, and half the time it won't work: do a Marvin Hagler. Ike Williams at Welterweight is not Marvin Hagler.
