Jesus. I think Canzoneri can counter punch his way to a decision. He's slick enough and tough enough to take anything that William can dish out (stopped just once in well over 100 fights). But Ike is so big ya know, and he's a natural lightweight (light welter really), he has a huge height advantage as well with a snappy jab and the sort of uppercut you would hate to bore in against. But I think Tony can smother him, and he was 140 pound champion so maybe the size won't be a big deal.

I'm going for Ike because of his power and strength,Canzoneri was a wonderful fighter but he matches up badly in these areas .Tony had a top chin so he's still there at the end but he loses a close decision.I wouldn't bet on this one.

Having seen the great Ike Williams "uncuffed several times, but too young to have seen
the great Tony Canzoneri fight but remembering a neighbor of mine Al Bummy Davis ,
was the ONLY man to ko Canzoneri in 179 bouts [his last one], I remain neutral on this pick...But I tend to sway towards Canzoneri. Even a Welterweight like Jimmy McLarnin couldn't knock out Tony Canzoneri...
