I'll be the first to say I was wrong about Wilder...but I was right too

    First off, congratulations to Wilder and all of his fans. He earned a victory, and although I think we all know that Wlad is the real champ, his title is as legitimate as any other alphabet soup champion.

    I was wrong about Wilder's chin. Stiverne may be a fat bum in a lot of ways, but he hits like a ton of bricks. Wilder took shots that felled legit contenders (for this era anyway) Arreola and Austin. Wilder's has a chin, and that is all.

    One caveat- a few of us questioned Wilder's power as he never knocked out a live body, except for the very questionable Scott "fight." I am on record saying several times that his power is remarkably overrated...and it is. Stiverne has a good beard (the King stoppage was stamina related) so it is not like he is feather fisted either, but he is just not the ATG power hitter that some think he is. His power is a lot like Sam Peter's- real but exaggerated by clever match-making.

    Congratulations again, and lets get the Wladdy fight done.

    Me too I never took his KO ration that seriously. No doubt Wilder has power, but not the level his KO ratios indicates.

    As for Klitschko. I want Wilder vs Fury before Klitschko.

    I doubt if Wilder's promoter will let him go anywhere near Klitschko.

    I'm not real surprised by how things turned out.

    Wilder's punching power is still pretty good. It's impossible to get everybody out of there 100% of the time.

    Wilder can bring some more interest to the heavyweight division. Hopefully, his promoter will not throw a wet blanket on the excitement by over-cautious matchmaking.

    Wilder vs Fury could be fun.

    I said before the fight Fury will be KO'd by Wilder, Deontay doesn't have to worry about Tyson's power, and I thought that before seeing him take a few bombs tonight, now I'm certain about it. Tyson's huge chin will be massive target by Wilder's straight right. That being said Wlad brutally knocks Deontay out.

    Stiverne had his gloves up peek-a-boo style all fight. This fight is not a true reflection of Wilders power.

    The main thing is that Stiverne was rly. bad and didnt catch Wilder clean on the very low shot he place it. Wilder was in the corner and Stiverne was so slow and moving slow like a elephant, if that was Povetkin for example he would cut it easy and catch Wilder on the corner and beat the living s*** out of him.
    WE can talk about his chin after he face Fury or Povetkin.
    Tho i admit he win the fight and win it by fashion and i admit i was wrong thinking that Stiverne would win.
