Ilunga Makabu goes to heavyweight division.

Being a south paw and a good counter puncher. I say he does OK for himself.

Imagine how hard Makabu will punch at HW. He should stop Slezak without too much trouble.

I could see him putting Fury to sleep with a big left hand.

Maybe he could fight Kevin Johnson. It'd be impressive if he were able to stop Johnson.

 

But seriously, one flush left hand from Makabu, and Fury would be out cold. Makabu has scary power.

I'd prefer him to stay at CW, though. I'd pick him to KO Hernandez.

Come to think of it, there are some MONSTER punchers in boxing right now. Kovalev, Stevenson, Makabu, Walters, Matthysse, Maidana, Thurman, Golovkin, and Beterbiev.

 

I don't see many HWs standing up to his power.
