Surely that's a very good value bet as he's done it before and Mchunu is reaching 40! I lied he's 33 but he looks old loool I thought he was old! And Makabu is probably in his prime now.
Lepin, get your eyes checked. Makabu is the one who looks ridiculous with his goofy lego shaped head and droopy face, and I say that as a big Makabu fan. Mchunu looks in excellent shape. Plus the training in Mexico and recent form he has shown against Lebedev and Tischenko he is my favorite to win tomorrow night.
Chuck you have completely dampened my spirits. I haven't even looked at their conditions or weigh in, I haven't done my homework.
I think Mchunu has a very good shot here. He was winning the first fight prior to being stopped. Could be the case that he's actually the fresher of the two, and riding better momentum. Can't wait, and I hope it doesn't years before it's available to watch after the fact.
Let's have it right, Usyk's first title defence and US and US TV debut came against Mchunu. Who in their right mind would take on, let alone in their first defence and US TV debut, a highly skilled super awkward and slick southpaw Mchunu for a voluntary defence? Usyk that's who
Mchunu is going to outbox and dominate Makabu. He dominated the first half of the first fight, had Makabu hurt several times and nearly got him out of there but gassed after going for the finish like a lunatic. If he paces himself a tat smarter he's going to win and he'll make it look easy. He got great sparring in Mexico and trained S&C at 2500m altitude. He's level above Makabu technically and probably the best technician in the weight class since Usyk moved up. He's the pick. I have a big bet on Mchunu +175. Mchunu UD it'll be. PS: If you want to gamble then do the ****ing tape study. You can't win every bet but at least do not wikicap like all the losers.
It's not wiki it's history man, I haven't engulfed myself in boxing for the last 2 years, but before that I could call a fight. I think Makabu beats Mchunu and I'll avatar bet you it!! It won't be embarrassing but will just be a friendly one.
I think Mchunu will take it. He’s prepared this time and if his stamina holds up, he should win a decision. Maybe even a TKO.
I like Mchunu and want him to win for his own self, but a nice bonus is that if he does win, it is a seventh titlist Usyk has a win over.
