Marquez and Dela Hoya are still destined for the HOF dont you agree? I didnt think your argument was based upon the circumstances of the fight in question more of the status of the fighter as a hall of famer?

I think although Hattons getting alot of stick right now he will be in the HOF, their are much lesser fighters in their right now like Ken Buchanan, Eusebio Pedroza and Barry Mcguigan imo

1)yup, it's the circumstances of those fights, especially marquez. if wladimir klitschko goes on a tear and beats pacquaio, mosley and hopkins i'm not giving him credit for beaten 3 hall of famers. the marquez fight was a joke

2)hatton will get in but lesser fighters like buchanan??? buchanan is possibly the greatest british fighter EVER and probably the second best scottish fighter of all time. he is light years ahead of ricky

I've met Ken, and know him personally to talk to as i'm from Scotland aswell you see, hes a great guy first time i met him was in my third amatuer fight inside Shotts Prison where he brought all his belts to show the young lads,

but lets not get ahead of ourselves, he isn't better than Hatton prime for prime, don't undersell Ricky, although he fell at the very top echelon of the sport being Mayweather and Pacquiou (we can forgive him for getting beat by two of the best fighters of all time) after all we forgave hearns for getting beaten by Leonard and Hagler? Ricky was still a beast in his prime who would wear people down with relentless pressure and afterall he is a multiple division world champion,

Buchanan also fell at the last hurdle by getting beat by Duran and then by alot of journeyman and **** fighters, given the losses to the tomatoes came at the end of his career but Rickys two losses also came in his last 3 fights

and out of curiousity, who do you think is the best Scottish fighter of all time ... Dick Mctaggart?

And you cant not give Mayweather credit for the Marquez fight, given Marquez came up in weight just like Floyd moved up in weight to beat other fighters, fact of the matter is, Floyd fought a HOF'er and he made it look very very easy, he cruised the full fight against an all time great mexican fighter

I mean the weight wasnt as big an issue as you all make out its not as if Floyd was hurting Marquez where you could say the weight made the difference, he gave him a boxing lesson in speed and technique, thats what makes your argument insane

benny lynch for number 1. only problem with lynch (other than the drinking of course) was he only left scotland i think twice...and that was to fight in ireland.

i love ricky but i simply cannot put him above ken. prime for prime buchanan was magic: the movment, the serpentine jab, tough as nails and a brilliant inside fighter.

ricky gets undersold but he's going to the hall of fame off of one big win and a whole lotta fans. buchanan got in by being one of the best lightweights ever and a brilliant fighter

I respect that opinion, afterall when we rank all of these fighters its all about opinion, maybe i rank Ricky as a better fighter because he was more my era and i grew up at the same time he was coming through the ranks

floyd moved up to 147 naturally, by outgrowing other weight classes and maintaining his speed

marquez never outgrew 130. he was a natural junior lightweight when he fought mayweather and moved up to 135 to chase pac. then he moved to 147 for a chance at glory.

mayweather didn't finish him because he doesn't have a killer instinct anymore and he wanted to put rounds in, not because he couldn't. the size difference was enormous and marquez was 130 pounds muscle, 14 pounds fat at the weigh in. mayweather was a mean lean 146. it's the type of weight mayweather had, which was natural because he's naturally bigger. marquez had to eat his way up

Idiot please. That BS you are talking doesn't stand up to the slightest scrutiny. Half of those guys where either nobodies or so far out of his weight class that nobody took it seriously.

Then I bet you go on to idolize PEDquiao. When has he EVER gone up to fight the likes of someone like Winky or Forrest? Hell he is now all the way up in WW and managed not to fight ONE slick boxer! All come forward brawlers. He just recently ducked Mosely!

Just shut that ducking crap up!
