Im 6'1 and 16 yrs old, what weight should i be for amateur boxing

    Im around 75-77.5kg (average) and have a tiny bit more weight to loose but dont know how much the weight that comes off will affect my general weight dosen't seem like it will much,what should my goal be generally for amateurs.

    You should be fighting at your walk around weight.

    fight at your natural weight, cutting aint healthy for anyone, but especially when you still developing

    I think you should fight at MW if you can make 75. If you are 75-77 walking around, after you have trained you should comfortable make the 75kg limit. If not then you will have to fight at light-heavy.

    I would say MW, perhaps SMW.

    Theres no super-middle in the amateurs.

    Welter > Middle > Light heavy
