I think Truscott, for the British and Comm title.

Ukrainian Oleg Yefimovich will fight Spain's Sergio Blanco in Donetsk on July 8 for the vacant European championship and the Scot's manager, Tommy Gilmour, has done a deal to have his man take on the Eastern European if he wins.

    Taken From The Daily Record.

And he won, this mean hes going for the Euro Title?

I think a rematch with Simpson would be good. It was a close fight, one in which he learned a great deal - he could learn much more second time around.

I don't think Truscott is ready for him to be honest, I would be surprised if his promoters allowed the fight to happen - it would be better to bypass the Commonwealth title anyway and win the Lonsdale outright, it means so much more.

Not ready for Euro level yet I don't think - but his managers are doing the right thing by giving him stiff competition rather than pad his record full of bums.

He is good to watch and seems a nice kid, good luck to him.

I'd love to see him in with Martin Lindsay - I reckon Martin would take him apart.

    I like him too.

He should rematch Simpson in my opinion.

They should just take it easy with him. He's been matched tough early, there is nothing wrong with even taking a step down and fighting a range of styles as part of his education.

Easier said than done when you hold the British title of course. I'd love to see him fight Truscott (whos win over that African type looks rather good now) or Lindsay. Young prospects squaring off.

a rematch with simpson would be nice, but i wouldn't be too critical if instead he fought truscott instead. this is probably the safest and most rewarding fight for him.

akaash bhatia and ricky owen are nowhere near ready, and martin lindsay needs a couple more fights. derry might get himself a mandatory shot at the title

Are you sure Truscott is easy?

Looks a genuine 50/50 to me.

not easy but the best risk / reward ratio given he could pick up the commonwealth strap as well.

I would say Appleby is a bit in front of Truscott, but I like both.

A Simpson rematch would be a good one - I haven't seen anything of Lindsay but a few people think he is pretty good.

Appleby is bigger and a harder puncher obviously, but I still think Truscott is more schooled and defensively solid. He doesn't give away as many easy point scoring opportunities and is more amateurish in his style, which isn't a bad thing against somebody like Appleby who can get reckless.

I think thats a tough match for your first defence. You don't wanna be losing the strap first time up.

Good point, Appleby is very hittable - but seems to me like a 'kill or be killed' style of fighter.

Perhaps that will change. It would be a tough match for both, I don't think Truscott has all that much in his fists but has good defence - whilst Appleby seems the opposite.

Appleby is a decent domestic fighter. I would love to see him in with Derry but I do not think he is ready yet. A rematch with Simpson would be most logical and would let the other prospects around that weight gain abit more experience which they need to make it a good fight.

what about andy morris? former champion by who all means is not finished.

very sound technichal fighter who not that long ago was tipped for big things until his 2 defeats to simpson.

would be too very contrasting styles could be an exciting match up.

the up and coming star against a former champion?

I think I actually voted for Morris. The experience gained from this fight would be good and Morris can still offer a good test.
