I'm a bit apprehensive about the Itauma vs. Hrgovic fight.

For sure, even light punching risk averse Parker was seconds away from stopping him. Hrgovic in killer mode like he was back before he got complacent, the same version we just saw against Allen, would mangle Whyte.

Well regarding the last bit, I think it always makes sense mentioning the ped use if it is the case. Otherwise we have a thread dishing out praise for whyte and nowhere accounting for his unfair advantage. And rivas whyte actually impressed the hell out of me when i saw him, but then came the bust...

With the parker fight, you probably have a better memory than me, but I think parker tended to fight his opponents fights and also in the whyte fight. Am I wrong? I don't remember him using his strengths that much. Instead of speed and movement i remember parker trading a lot, fighting Whyte's fight.

And I think an advantage of hrgovic and his stoic chin heavy style is that he does not tend to fight his opponents fight. He always looks similar. Which seems to indicate to me that he would have been more able to fight to his own strengths than parker was in that fight. Which in turn would indicate that the comparison parker-hrgovic is not that indicative of a whyte hrgovic Fight.

I just think hrgovic wont be bothered by Whyte's power which is his strongest point. He was sloppy with bad footwork and walking through the ring on stilts. I just see hrgovic with his precision punching scoring easily and a lot. Stamina might be a bit in Whyte's favor, but i rather see hrgovic winning rounds early. How does whyte win rounds? A few big punches to the head and some more to the head? When hrgovic isn't bothered i don't think they will impress the judges as much.

And volume punching would be in short to mid distance, where hrgovic will be having just as much success, and Whyte's chin is way weaker, even if hrgovics punches are, too.

Whyte might win, hrgovic might win. I just dont see a clear level difference here. Yes whyte had a great punch and that gave him a certain chance to beat better fighters, but i don't think that's enough to neglect all other aspects.

Hrgovic beats any version of Whyte for me. Dillian has been a hugely entertaining guy to watch over the years. Decent power and a sometimes suspect chin. Not exactly 'chinny' but not grade A. Hrgovic is a more refined fighter and is all wrong for Whyte who I don't think was ever at the level, regardless of actual achievement, that Hrgovic was/is...Big Phil busts Whyte up and even if he gets drawn into a firefight his chin means hes the last man standing.

I personally have a feeling Dubois hits harder than Itauma. Think this will be a tough test for Itauma.

I'm looking forward to the fight. Hyrgovic should have the gastank, resilience, ambition and know-how to let us find out something about Itauma. Maybe even bust him up, gas him out, and end the train. If Itauma does anything resembling his previous destructions of named fighters though, it's time to start accepting the new freak on the block. The fact is, hes trashed half decent opposition, in outrageous style, thus far.

Also Itauma admitted Dubois is the hardest fighter style wise he has fought.

I would worry more about ref interference and a fake stoppage the second Itauma comes even close to landing anything decent.

I fully expect the fight to look like this:

hrgovic has a chance if he can take it to round 8-9-10 without being 2 damaged. big itauma fan but i got questions about his stamina if hes forced to go late and hes only 21 also.

It's sink or swim for Itauma. Time to prove he's built for deep water

Hrgovic playing mind games with Moses but to be fair he's not wrong about the things he's saying
