I would go with Manny.... . . . . . . I really think the difference of the 2 will be Mannys hand speed, his southpaw style will give Ricky a lot of problems, and sometimes Ricky can be to brave for his own good and that might work against him with Manny....What do you guys think Peace,Ted:rasta
Ricky is my favorite fighter but my wife is Filipina and my son is (obviously) half. Manny really lifts the spirits of all Filipinos so I'd hate to see him lose. But I'd hate to see Ricky lose again as well. The more I think about it the more I lean towards Hatton to win. But this is a 50/50 fight so maybe it will be a draw?
Like Pacquaio myself but am a big fan of Ricky and i am from the same town. So i will be screaming the house down for a Hatton win with several beers inside me ( ****in 4 o'clock again :-( ). Think Manny will win though.
I am a monster Pacquiao fan, but I see this fight as a 50-50. I think some people are getting carried away with Manny because Oscar was weight-drained and couldn't cope with Pac's speed. Other than that fight, Manny has never fought above 135 and has never fought a top quality fighter above 130. Ricky Hatton is a top quality natural 140 fighter. He will have the edge on size and strength on the night despite what many are saying now. I still think Pac's speed and power will stop Ricky late, but I say that with virtually no confidence. This is a real 50-50 clash IMO.
I agree about the Southpaw style and the handspeed. This is a hard fight to predict. I think the referee and what he allows/does not allow Hatton to do will be a factor also. If Joe Cortez shows up Team Hatton might as well go home.
I honestly think Pac will surprise people on the night on the inside, even if the ref let's it get dirty. He can fight like a ****ing demon on the inside when he has to, his speed and fury will shock Hatton. That's why I see this as being such an even fight.
