I'm not a roy hater, I really do like the guy but the facts are facts. I'm not saying he was a bum but it's just his nuthuggers think he is god.

And I really hate when his fans trash Calzaghe, a guy that was fighting CHRIS EUBANK when roy was fighting part time security guards and 5'4 vinny paz who broke his neck in a car accident.

Chris ****ing Eubank? By the time Calzaghe fought Eubank, Roy had won world titles in 3 weight classes. He had beaten Hopkins,Toney,McCallum, and Jorge Fernando Castro.

And hopkins was green and not even close to prime, McCallum was 40 years old and gave roy problems, and castro was never elite.

And Calzaghe fought Eubank at like 21 years old, it was his FIRST real title fight and he won. Eubank at the time (1997) was considered a top 10 p4p fighter.

I doubt it, that he was top 10 p4p when he lost 2 times to Collins and beat some lower level fighters, and you say he was top 10 p4p??? check that again please!!!

Hopkins was not green....Dude was 28 years old and had more fights than Roy.

McCallum was old...and he was still better than almost everyone on Calzaghe's scalp list.

This nikka said Chris Eubank! LMAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOO!!!11 :rofl:nut:rofl:nut

He's talking (errrr typing) out of his ass.

Top 10 p4p list at the beginning of '97:

    1. Roy Jones Jr.
    2. Oscar De La Hoya
    3. Pernell Whitaker
    4. Felix Trinidad
    5. Ricardo Lopez
    6. Junior Jones
    7. Kostya Tszyu
    8. Terry Norris
    9. Evander Holyfield
    10. Mark Johnson

Eubank was washed up and hadn't had a meaningful win in years, and even at his very best was a B+ level fighter and was NEVER ranked p4p.

Roy will always be the most hated fighter. His resume is actually better than Hopkins, but some people give him no credit. The reason is because people like to see great fighters struggle to win. Roy, in his prime, made it look easy because he was so good. Nobody ever questions Toneys opposition, because he has close fights with a lot of the same guys. Roy was just special.

Jones has one of the most underated resumes ever, people talk like he fought no one yet he utterly outclssed 2 ATG's in Toney and B-Hop, beat numerous very good champions like Griffin, Tarver, Hill, Mccallum, other good decent champs like Woods, Grant, Del Valle, Gonzales, Ruiz and he looked better than just about anyone in the history of the sport in the way he outclassed everyone.... Jones has a very good resume, just missing Dariusz but we all know that was due to one being showtime and the other being hbo and nothing to do with Jones ducking..... not to mention anyone that has watched both Jones and michaelczewski knows how that fight would have turned out, a complete domination for Jones.
