I'm a GGG fan but this is getting ridiculous!

    It's not irrelevant at all.

GG can take less, but not significantly less.

How did Bernard dare to be great by taking on Oscar?

How is GG being a diva exactly?

The only thing that's happened is that K2 want to sit down to discuss having a percentage split of the total revenue. But that's not going to happen yet, because they're negotiating with Jacobs and they know a fight against Canelo can't happen until in a years time.

He dared to be great against tito Hopkins was the underdog in that fight and was expected to get slaughtered Hopkins made concessions to oscar he fought him at a catchweight and took less money. He dared to be great once again by going from 160-175 for Tarver. Wheh has ggg done this? once again the double standards and hypocrisy are apparent for ggg fans.

You say this and ignore that Hopkins sat at 160 for 18 freaking years. GGG has plenty of time to do all this stuff. Talk about double standards.

Everyone wants to see him fight the best. But why should he accept a flat fee offer a year out, when he could own every belt in the division by next September, which would leave Canelo without any other MW options, making their fight one of the biggest grossing fights of all time? It wouldn't be good business sense to do that.

No I agree on the BJS situation last I read he was in negotiations with both camps. Its obvious he is going to be looking for the least amount of risk and most reward.

Yet when faced with a chance to do something ggg doesn't do it. Ducks ward refuses a catchweight fight with Canelo takes step aside money and trying to screw jacobs on the purse. Hopkins when he got the chances jumped at the opportunity. Hell him taking on a young phenomenon like rjj was taking a risk more than anything ggg has ever done . You can't compare the two when it comes to this Hopkins fights all comers and, makes concessions ggg doesn't period.

What do you personally care more about: the business sense of Golovkin and his team or the fight between Canelo and Golovkin.

Why on earth would he participate in any 'catchweight' fights? They are a joke and are what is wrong with Boxing. They cheapen the sport. What fighter wouldn't take step aside money? It is a business right? I would gladly take step aside money to sit on my couch and watch a guy who is scared to fight me get punched in the face on tv. It is free money for Christ sakes. For doing nothing.

Hopkins boiled down to 160 for over 18 years before he 'dared to be great'. GGG should be afforded the same luxury. Let this play out. Canelo is so scared he is trying to schedule fights a year in advance. Who in the hell does that?

In my opinion, GG's numbers will start to dramatically improve.

Go on social media. Buy any boxing magazine. Go on any online boxing forum. There's literally 6/7 threads regarding him on a daily basis. Lemieux is in the past. He's just done very good numbers in the U.K. and now he has a U.K. fan base and a casual following. He just needs things to click into place. Again, I think a Jacobs fight would do good numbers and a BJS unification back in the U.K. would do very good numbers. I honestly feel the tide is starting to turn. Canelo will always have a huge fan base, but he's currently on the sidelines and Oscar's not going to put him in with a big name for his first fight at MW. So he's not going to do big numbers within the next 6 months.

I'm just really hoping that GG can beat Jacobs and BJS. Because those wins would do so much for him. I don't think people are aware of the ramifications:

    1. Again, it would give him every belt in the division.

    2. It eliminates them as opponents for Canelo, severely limiting his options at MW.

    3. It would enhance his resume.

    4. It would enhance his ratings and his fan base.

    5. It would put GBP under an enormous amount of pressure to make the fight.

    6. If Oscar wouldn't make the fight, Canelo's ratings and reputation would suffer.

I think he should give Jacobs a reasonable split just to put the wheels in motion for the above to happen.

I think Canelo's JMW days are over, so apart from a huge fight with GG, who else can give him a huge fight?

I always say this to fans who get caught up on the finances, as a fan you're responsibility isn't to be an accountants its to support good fights. To be fair to Loudon he seems like he wants the fight to happen just like us but the difference between me and him is i dont care if someone get stiffed for the fights to happen whether it's Canelo, GGG or Jacobs long as they happen.

I don't know at this stage. Like I say, we'll have to objectively review the situation next year. Again, it depends on the circumstances. An awful lot can happen within the next 12 months.

Why did ggg offer ward a catchweight fight at 164 then? It's clear that he doesn't share your thoughts about them and is open to it. He could have taken a catchweight fight with Canelo for more money than the catchweight fight with ward bit he didn't. The guy is a hypocrite.

I don't see Jacobs taking the fight if the split ain't right, and your plan is solid but what if GB offer a fight to Saunders and he takes it?

That's would sweep the carpet from right under the feet of Golovkin, not to mention GGG has a mandatory with Johnson, Derenveyanchenko(whatever his name is coming soon).

I hope GGG gets BJS, Jacobs then fights Canelo that would be perfect then he will be the king with no questions asked plus he will be undisputed and would cement his legacy as MW all time great but I just dont see these guys stepping up to the plate unless there's a big big purse for each one of them.
