I'm a GGG fan but this is getting ridiculous!

    Exactly.

I'm not criticising Golovkin for holding out. But I don't give two shits about how much he earns.

I just wanna see he fights happen.

If you wanna see legendary check out how much Archie Moore got paid in his title shot.

Sometimes the challenger has to concede to the champion.

Golovkin has all these belts but when Hopkins unified the division fully he lost to Taylor, who lost to Pavlik, who lost to Martinez, who lost to Cotto who lost to Canelo.

    It's a very interesting situation.

In my opinion, BJS has taken an awful lot of confidence from the GG-Brook fight. Also, for the first time, he's been calling GG out in numerous interviews, and if he backs down he'll look foolish and it will damage his reputation, especially within the travelling community. So I do believe he's being genuine.

If for whatever reason the fight couldn't be made, Oscar would have a huge dilemma. Because if he could make a BJS fight for Canelo and Canelo was to win, it would give them huge leverage in negotiations with K2. But on the other hand, BJS is extremely talented and I honestly believe he'd have a huge chance of beating Canelo. So would Oscar take that sort of a risk, which could throw a huge spanner in the works if Canelo lost? How big would a GG-Canelo fight be if BJS beat Canelo clearly with no controversy? I think a lot of fans would lose interest and they'd want BJS to fight GG. So it's very interesting if you look at the different possible scenarios and you look from different perspectives. From BJS' perspective, he'd much rather fight Canelo first, because he's extremely confident that he can beat him, and it would make a future fight with GG much bigger.

The next 12 months are going to be very interesting.

    He dared to be great?

He's 6'1, with a 75" reach, and had to make incredible sacrifices to make MW.

He'd got nothing to lose by fighting Tarver, and he'd got nowhere else to go at MW.

Again, I've never said GG shouldn't make concessions.

I'm not as optimistic on BJS as you are, Loudon.
He has always shown an intense fear of Golovkin, admitting a number of times that he wouldn't want to fight him. Hopefully he did take heed in Brook's spirited performance, though.

The same BJS that said Golovkin beat him and Eubanks on the same night?

I think BJS on his best night can beat Canelo too its a 55-45 fight for me, he wouldn't win on the score cards however I think they rob him. Yeah they will I just hope we get to see any of these fights I'm not as interested with the financial and political side personally.

    How many more times?

Was Andre's team being genuine, knowing that he had a title fight and he was awaiting the winner of Cotto-Canelo?

You know full well why he took step aside money. Cotto was never going to fight him, and he fought for the IBF title whilst he watched the outcome of Cotto-Canelo, knowing that he was again the mandatory to the victor. He then took step aside money from Oscar to allow the Khan fight, because he believed that Canelo was going to fight him afterwards, and it also gave him a chance to clear up a mandatory.

Bernard didn't jump at opportunities. He ducked a rematch with Roy, and he admitted that he could have fought at LHW years earlier, but he didn't because he didn't want to give up his advantages. Bernard was very clever. He didn't take on all comers.

A fight, but GG doesn't deserve any criticism for his team turning down the offer.

    Great points.

Like I've mentioned in my previous post, would Oscar try and get Canelo a BJS fight?

It would be a huge gamble in my opinion, especially as he's injured and he's never fought a MW.

You're missing one very important factor here. That's he fought rjj previously. Atleast he took the risk and did indeed fight him your point holds no merit. Ggg has taken no risk and has never shown the willingness to do so.

He has. I've seen every interview he's given throughout the last few years. But the fight against Kell seems to have given him a huge confidence boost. And I also think he was extremely envious of the attention that Kell and the fight received.

I think they would cause Saunders has been way more inactive than Canelo and they can always rob him if things go pair shaped lol. But I see your point, it is abit of a risky fight but Canelo has taken risks before, Mayweather, Lara and Cotto.

He's in a completely different mindset now.

Regarding the financial side, I'm not bothered either. It's just that I don't agree with the criticism that GG is receiving for not accepting the flat fee. To me that's unfair, because the offer is absolute nonsense. Not only that, GBP has already messed them around and have proven to be untrustworthy.

I think GGG would take risks if there's really big money involved like he said his willing to fight Froch and Ramirez at 168 but soon as Ward said yeah I'm ready he didn't seem as keen at having that fight at 168 because there wasn't as much money.

Roy hadn't done anything at that point.

How can my points hold no merit?

GG has unfinished business at MW before he'll consider moving up.
