I'm a huge Pac fan - but I'm so sad to say I can't see him beating Shane.

if diaz is a bum by your standards then so is katsidis. marquez should tko casa and predicted it so. it was jmm's first fight at 135 and he would normally struggle fighting a bigger guy. it doesn't mean casa was not way past it.

The fact that he's taking on the WW champ makes me respect him more. Funny how he's fighting the best WW *who isn't in his weight class* before mayweather *who is a ww* xD

Casa was past it, not completely shot but well on his way...If you dont think that either your delusional or you havent seen any of his earlier career where he was in his prime.

So what, it don't matter if It was Marquez first fight at 135 pounds. If Casa was shot as you say Marquez would have easily destroyed Casamayor.

If this fight gets made at a catchweight, no belt would be on the line, would it? I mean, it wouldn't be considered as a welterweight championship match w/ the proviso, eh? Please clarify this tidbit for me, peeps.

This is a very dangerous fight for Pacquiao because of the size and strength disaprity and the fact that Shane's got some speed as well even at 38. He's not as faded as his other peers. Proof was his destruction of Margarito. Pacquiao is still quicker, faster and younger and he has to be as flit footed as possible to avoid and/or lessen the impact of Shane's bombs. I'm confident Roach and Team Pacquiao would come up with an intelligent strategy for this fight to at least come out competitive if not triumphant. People will get their money's worth.

But there is a REAL danger for Mosley here as well.
:D If he can't hurt Pac to slow him down enough by the sixth, then I won't be surprised he gets taken to deep waters from then on while the needle on the gauge of his fuel tank drops towards the redline. He can't keep up with Pac's work rate and Pac won't be a lumbering, limited and defenseless target like Vargas, Mayorga or Margarito. Pac can keep his movement and offensive pace at the highest level for the whole night.

Last year people were calling the Dream Match a joke. The truth is that it was only a oneshot deal and that Pac doesn't really belong at 147. Anyone with some sense can see that. Still, some people are already calling Shane weight drained and old and they haven't even signed the papers for this one yet. Jeez... What's a little Asian guy have to do to impress huh?

I am a fan of both fighters, but I think Once again it will be Pac man who is victorious! he will be too fast for shane.

I agree that this is a TOUGH hill to climb for Pac. What's worse is the risk/reward factor is not good. A win over Mosley will undeniably be viewed as a gift win over a washed up, weight drained former legend. A loss will hurt him even worse. I'd much rather see Pac v. Cotto or Mayweather. Both would be huge victories for him OR tough losses against great opponents at their physical primes.

shane will outweigh pac by 10+ lbs. during the fight. the catchweight might somewhat compensate for this but the size and strength difference is still so large. i dunno. i'm sitting on the fence on this one for the time being.
